Head of Dental Network
Clover Health
At Clover Health, we are committed to providing high-quality, affordable, and easy-to-understand healthcare plans for America’s seniors. We prioritize preventive care while leveraging data and technology through the Clover Assistant, a powerful tool that helps physicians make informed health recommendations. By giving doctors a holistic view of each member’s complete health history, we ensure better care at a lower cost—delivering the highest value to those who need it most. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Dental Network to lead the development, optimization, and performance of Clover’s dental provider network in support of our Medicare Advantage business. This leader will be responsible for building and scaling a high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant dental network, developing competitive and sustainable fee schedules, and overseeing provider account management and network performance. This role will own dental network strategy end-to-end: From network design and provider contracting to fee schedule development, relationship management, performance oversight, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in dental network development, contracting, and reimbursement strategy, along with strong leadership experience and a proven ability to scale high-performing teams. As the Head of Dental Network, you will: - Build Clover’s dental network strategy from the ground up, transitioning from a vendor-supported model to a high-performing, in-house capability across markets. - Design and execute a competitive, cost-effective network strategy that drives adequacy, geographic access, and long-term market differentiation. - Lead end-to-end provider recruitment and contracting — from market targeting and economic modeling to complex negotiations and deal execution. - Develop and operationalize dental fee schedules aligned to financial targets, competitive benchmarks, and provider market dynamics, with clear governance for updates and performance-based models. - Use market data, competitive intelligence, and provider economics to inform expansion, optimization, and margin strategy. - Establish clear provider performance frameworks, including scorecards and KPIs across quality, access, member experience, and financial outcomes. - Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Actuarial, Clinical, and Operations to resolve escalations, improve provider experience, and drive enterprise alignment. - Build, scale, and lead a high-impact dental network team spanning contracting, analytics, and provider relationship management. Success in this role looks like: - In your first 90 days, you will: - Develop new fee schedules aimed at balancing between ensuring broad network participation and financial goals. - Establish a prioritized roadmap for network expansion. - Develop go-to-market materials for provider outreach. - Develop KPIs and dashboards to track against recruitment efforts. - After 6 months you will: - Build out a broad dental network in Clover’s markets ready for a 1/1/2027 go-live. - Deliver measurable improvements in network adequacy, provider engagement, and contracting efficiency. - Stand up a structured provider account management model. - Future success in this role includes: - Strong provider relationships and improved provider experience. - Scalable, high-performing dental network supporting Clover’s MA growth strategy. You should get in touch if you: - Bring 10+ years of experience in dental network development, provider contracting, or payer network management, with deep expertise in fee schedule design and reimbursement strategy. - Have successfully built provider network strategy from the ground up - Possess strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage regulations and network adequacy standards, and can operationalize them effectively. - Have a proven track record negotiating complex provider contracts and structuring high-performing, cost-effective networks. - Have built and led high-impact contracting or network teams, setting clear strategy, processes, and performance metrics. - Demonstrate strong financial and analytical acumen, partnering closely with Finance and Actuarial to drive margin and growth. - Thrive in fast-moving environments, bringing structure to ambiguity and influencing executive stakeholders to align around a new strategy. Benefits Overview: - Financial Well-Being: Our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent begins with a competitive base salary and equity opportunities.
