Job Description Clinical Ink is seeking an Mobile Software Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Lab. In this role, you be responsible for building cross-platform mobile apps and leading mobile architecture and integration of devices for digital health solutions. The Mobile Software Engineer's responsibilities include: - Build cross-platform (iOS/Android) mobile apps for digital health proof-of-concepts using frameworks such as React Native. - Lead mobile architecture and integration of devices into our existing mobile platforms - Design and integrate RESTful and event-driven APIs to support secure data exchange between mobile apps, backend services, and data pipelines - Implement reliable data synchronization workflows for intermittently connected devices and users - Integrate apps with BLE medical devices, wearables, and biosensors to capture, validate, and transmit health data. - Implement secure data transmission to cloud services (e.g., AWS S3, APIs). - Rapidly iterate on prototypes, applying modern software development practices such as modular design, feature flags, and experimentation frameworks. - Collaborate with platform, data, and AI teams to ensure solutions align with backend architectures, APIs, and evolving data models. - Ensure apps follow healthcare privacy and security best practices (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.). - Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the lab and with product/engineering stakeholders. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on mobile applications (React Native, TypeScript, Objective C, Swift, or similar). - Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL, or event-base systems) - Experience integrating connected devices (BLE) into mobile or hybrid applications. - Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and AWS services for secure data transmission and backend integration. - Working knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and logging. - Understanding of healthcare data privacy and mobile app security. - Passion for innovation in digital health, emerging software patterns, and rapid prototyping.
