Senior Linux Systems Engineer

SHR Consulting Group

• Design and implement Linux-based platform solutions. • Configure and manage automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform to streamline operations. • Monitor platform performance and availability, addressing issues as they arise. • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure systems remain secure and operational. • Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using Ansible and Terraform. • Implement security measures to protect platform infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities. • Conduct security assessments and participate in audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards. • Analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. • Optimize platform configurations to enhance efficiency and reliability. • Maintain detailed documentation of platform configurations, changes, and maintenance activities. • Generate reports on platform performance, security, and usage for management and stakeholders. • Respond to platform-related incidents and outages, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. • Develop and follow incident response plans to minimize downtime and impact on business operations. • Work collaboratively with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of platform systems. • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff on platform-related issues. • Ensure platform operations adhere to organizational policies and industry best practices. • Continuously evaluate and improve platform infrastructure to meet evolving business needs and technological advancements. • Manage relationships with platform service providers and vendors.
