Senior Product Counsel
OpenLoop
• Partner with product, engineering, compliance, and operations teams to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice throughout the product development process. • Advise on regulatory and privacy frameworks applicable to healthcare technology, telemedicine, and AI-powered tools. • Draft, review, and negotiate product-related agreements, including licensing, data-sharing, and technology partnerships. • Ensure that product launches and updates comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Monitor evolving laws in technology, AI, and data governance, advising internal stakeholders on risk mitigation and compliance strategies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape internal policies and best practices around AI ethics, data usage, and security. • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex legal questions involving technology innovation and responsible AI deployment. • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 8+ years of legal experience, with significant in-house or law firm experience supporting product development and technology transactions.
- Deep experience advising on AI products, data governance, and emerging technology issues.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, consumer protection, and healthcare regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, FTC, FDA guidance).
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and business leaders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance innovation and compliance in a growth-oriented organization.

• Provides underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, and agents related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies • Utilizes underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits, to underwrite the issuance of title insurance • Provides guidance to company personnel in the performance of real estate settlement services • Issues underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company processes • Determine the conditions of the title and insurability by considering the effect of documents such as deeds, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, probates and other matters of record • Protect the company from risk by analyzing recorded documents for ownership accuracy, legal description precision, and potential impact on title • Explain chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to customers and managers • Recognize title defects and formulate curative solution • Assess risks and liabilities that may jeopardize the company, and bring these matters to the attention of the local title manager, state title manager or senior underwriting counsel, or chief underwriting counsel, as appropriate • Review surveys prepared on properties and other proposed documents to be insured such as mortgages, mortgage modifications, etc. • Work closely with the title agent and escrow staff to meet deadlines for closings and assist with answering questions related to issuance of the title commitment and policies • Perform other duties assigned by management
