Job Description

Sales Director

AFAR

• Meet and exceed revenue goal across Afar platforms within assigned territory, agencies and/or categories • Identify sales prospects and work on prospect strategy • Learn and communicate clients’ key KPIs and share account insights to the marketing team for optimal proposal development • Collaborate with marketing, corporate, production, finance and other teams within the brand unit to produce top of the line advertising solutions and revenue opportunities for book of business • Present Afar brand and tailored opportunities to various clients, stakeholders, agency partners • Develop and manage ongoing relationships with clients and agency relationships • Responsible for overall account health, retention, growth and optimization across platforms and product lines • Report business performance, status and trends to assigned accounts • Travel is required to attend industry trade shows and client meetings • Make independent tactical decisions in alignment with company values, goals, policies & procedures

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience of integrated media sales
  • Must be highly motivated and passionate
  • Excellent presentation, time management and organizational skills
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluency in the latest technologies (digital, social and mobile)
  • Self-starter able to solve problems, identify issues and develop solutions
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation and closing skills
  • Proven sales and closing success with ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and high-level conversations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, start-up environment with grace under pressure
  • A love of travel and the ability to travel for work
