Associate Social Editor

Primary focus: The creation, scheduling and promotion of all social posts. The Associate Social Editor will support the Director of Social Platforms and execute our social media strategy across platforms. This role will be responsible for the creation, scheduling, and promotion of social content, with a strong emphasis on short-form video. Responsibilities - Lead the creation, scheduling, and publishing of social content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts - Assist in developing and producing platform-specific assets, including video and static content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok - Edit social-first video content in Afar’s style, ensuring quality, consistency, and performance optimization - Maintain and manage the social content calendar, ensuring consistent posting and timely execution - Track deadlines and keep all social projects on schedule across teams and contributors - Oversee day-to-day social operations to ensure efficiency and consistency across platforms - Communicate monthly social video needs to both the external creators and internal teams - Assign projects, provide creative direction, and review submitted content - Support cross-platform social strategy, set by the Director of Social Platforms, ensuring content is optimized and tailored for each channel - Help maintain a cohesive brand voice and visual identity across all social platforms - Identify opportunities to improve workflow, content performance, and audience engagement Requirements - 2-3 Years experience in a Social role (Media preferred) - Capable of using Adobe Suite (Premiere, Indesign, Photoshop) - Ability to cut in CapCut and Instagram Edits - Highly organized - Experience with Social SEO trends - Ability to shoot and edit from a phone or DSLR $65,000 - $75,000 a year
Sales Director

• Meet and exceed revenue goal across Afar platforms within assigned territory, agencies and/or categories • Identify sales prospects and work on prospect strategy • Learn and communicate clients’ key KPIs and share account insights to the marketing team for optimal proposal development • Collaborate with marketing, corporate, production, finance and other teams within the brand unit to produce top of the line advertising solutions and revenue opportunities for book of business • Present Afar brand and tailored opportunities to various clients, stakeholders, agency partners • Develop and manage ongoing relationships with clients and agency relationships • Responsible for overall account health, retention, growth and optimization across platforms and product lines • Report business performance, status and trends to assigned accounts • Travel is required to attend industry trade shows and client meetings • Make independent tactical decisions in alignment with company values, goals, policies & procedures
Director of Social Platforms

• Take strategic ownership of Afar’s and Suitcase’s social platforms • Set and direct day-to-day workflow to increase engagement and revenue • Collaborate with editors to develop cross-platform content packages • Work with Afar’s sales and marketing team on revenue opportunities • Develop, implement, and maintain clear processes and communication channels to facilitate operational efficiency across teams • Develop, manage, and evolve Afar’s and Suitcase’s social media calendar, tracking to KPIs and OKRs • Develop, manage, and evolve Afar’s content creator network • Bring fresh and exciting ideas forward that challenge conventional thinking • Lead pitch + ideation meetings, including series development
