Job Description

Site Manager II, MEP

Gray

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. • Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager. • Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. • Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate. • Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices. • Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings, and status reports. • Review all drawings, i.e. P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times. • Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager. • Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project. • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion. • Schedule work, including subcontractors. • Assist in the productivity and quantity tracking of the subcontractors installed work. • Determine materials, equipment and tools needed. • Secure appropriate supply sources. • Set up and close out construction site. • Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not specifically assigned to the project. • Responsible for communication, implementation, and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site. • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones.
  • MS project and other scheduling software a plus.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.
  • Must possess the ability to think for his/herself and be able to manage without direction having to be given.
