MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Drive strategic initiatives across APAC & Japan by partnering with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to deliver clear analysis, recommendations, and strategic roadmaps. - Support the regional and global strategic planning process, developing relevant regional insights, frameworks, and analysis that strengthen multi‑year plans and ensure alignment between global priorities and regional realities. - Deliver market and competitive research for APAC & Japan, analyzing consumer trends, channel shifts, economic conditions, and competitive movements to inform New Balance's growth agenda. - Conduct opportunity assessments and build business cases, including ROI analyses, financial models, and qualitative evaluations that guide senior-level decision‑making. - Design and support strategic workshops, alignment sessions, and presentations to clarify opportunities, elevate regional insights, and engage global and regional stakeholders. - Pivot quickly to address emerging challenges, ambiguity, or unplanned business questions, applying structure, rigor, and clarity to unstructured problems. - Build strong relationships with regional and global partners, collaborating effectively across functions and geographies to ensure shared understanding, alignment, and execution. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: - 3+ years of management consulting and/or corporate strategy experience - Strong intellectual curiosity, especially about consumer, cultural, and retail dynamics in APAC & Japan - Experience working with international markets or multicultural environments; interest in Asia Pacific/Japan required - Japanese language skill strongly preferred - Background in management consulting, retail, CPG, global brands, internal strategy, or business development strongly preferred - Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; experience building quantitative models, market landscapes, and business cases - Ability to translate complex data into clear narratives and recommendations - Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, storytelling, and presentation) - Ability to manage projects independently from scoping to final recommendations - Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments - Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior executives - Global mindset with cultural sensitivity and adaptability - MBA preferred - Ability to work weekly out of New Balance HQ in Brighton, MA, USA - plus ability to travel to APAC & Japan once per quarter Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $100,200.00 - $129,300.00 - $158,400.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
