Role Description This position will be working 100% Remotely from your home office in India as part of a distributed team in the USA, Canada, Europe and several locations in India. We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer, Backend. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that support our applications and infrastructure. - Implement secure and efficient APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations. - Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through effective architecture and engineering best practices. - Work closely with product managers and frontend engineers to develop backend solutions that align with business and user needs. - Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of backend systems. - Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and stability. - Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in backend development and distributed systems. Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on experience in creating applications on cloud based technologies (Java/AWS stack). - Experience building backend services and distributed systems. - Experience building micro services. - Experience working with AWS cloud environments. - Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary team of developers, product managers and system administrators. - Highly analytical/Problem solver. Requirements - Base Salary (Compensation): The annual Fixed salary for this position is between 25 LPA - 30 LPA (Fixed) depending upon experience + Variable. • Review and approved customer account set up in compliance with company standards ensuring all required billing are details on file • Review contracts, purchase orders, and billing terms, and accurately capture billing details in the management information system (MIS) • Prepare accurate and timely invoices and submit them through multiple billing portals. • Maintain clear communication with the project accountant team lead and the digital innovation CSM/FSR team via email and messaging portal. • Process expense transfer to the correct accounts within the MIS and ensuring proper approval and maintain a clear audit trail. • Support the Project Accountant team lead and Digital Innovation CSM/FSR team in coordinating and monitoring billing and collection. • Process billing voids and write-offs with appropriate approval • Maintain accurate customer account records, including invoices and contract documentation. • Initiate and manage customer account close-outs to ensure all MIS records are complete and accurate. • Review and monitor customer record updates in the CRM system, ensuring supporting documentation aligns with MIS billing records. • Accurately process payment and follow up with the relevant internal teams where necessary. • Monitor collections, maintain AR ledger comments, and engage directly with customers when required. • Escalate unresolved collection matter (60+ days outstanding) to the Project Accountant Team Lead and Digital Innovation CSM/FSR team. • Ensure compliance with the CSP process. • Participate in company wide initiatives, including quality assurance and continuous improvement.

• Develop queries of appropriate complexity, apply query optimizations and make modifications to database tables • Deliver well-documented code to facilitate understanding and maintenance • Implement measures to ensure application security • Develop and run unit tests to ensure code quality • Demonstrate familiarity with the Git tool workflow and the ability to investigate change history • Provide support to other developers based on established guidelines

• work on projects with high technical complexity and spanning across the stack, from backend data systems to frontend of Hex’s collaborative notebook interface • Using DuckDB to enable seamless data interoperability between Python and SQL code written by our users or AI agents • Building intelligent caching systems to speed up customer data queries • Implementing a graph-based dependency framework for optimizing multi-step execution plans • Instrumenting complex, multi-language systems to identify performance bottlenecks • Building visualizations into the product to help users understand the performance characteristics of their code
