We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Cloud team and play a key role in designing and building the next generation of our platform services. Your work will directly shape the way global enterprises deploy, manage, and scale Aerospike in the cloud—and will help push the boundaries of what real-time, always-on systems can achieve. What You'll Do: - Drive real impact. You’ll build core backend systems that are foundational to our multi-cloud SaaS platform—helping customers deploy and manage high-performance, globally distributed applications with ease. - Collaborate deeply. You’ll work closely with product managers, architects, QA, and other developers to move fast on a strategic roadmap that reflects real-world customer needs for internal and external developers. - Build for scale. From optimizing performance to designing for multi-tenancy and auto-scaling, you’ll write production-grade code that’s secure, maintainable, and blazing fast. - Elevate quality. You’ll champion code quality and test coverage, raise the bar for engineering standards, and help us build systems that just work—even under extreme load. - Innovate boldly. You’ll bring new ideas to the table, prototype rapidly, and be empowered to experiment and lead with technology. - Responsibilities - Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on a long-term technology roadmap - Produce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speed - Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks - Optimize backend services for performance and scalability - Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure business needs are met. - Join the on-call rotation for services in your focus area as a technical expert to help address customer-impacting issues - Required skills and qualifications - At least 5 years of relevant experience - Excellent foundation in computer science and algorithms - Experience in developing distributed, multi-tenant, auto-scalable backend services - Proficient knowledge of one or more statically typed back-end programming languages (Go, Kotlin, Java, Scala) - Experience with at least one of the major public cloud providers: AWS, Google, Azure - Experience with NoSQL and relational databases and database fundamentals, including data storage, data replication, data modeling, and data access patterns - Experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining distributed services with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE) - Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline engines - Technical knowledge and understanding of techniques and standards for authentication, authorization, and encryption - Preferred skills and qualifications - Proficient in Go - Experience with NoSQL database development - Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and other DevOps technologies - Experience with the Kubernetes Operator pattern - Experience with a workflow engineer (ArgoCD, Temporal) Aerospike is an Equal Opportunity Employer. • Review and approved customer account set up in compliance with company standards ensuring all required billing are details on file • Review contracts, purchase orders, and billing terms, and accurately capture billing details in the management information system (MIS) • Prepare accurate and timely invoices and submit them through multiple billing portals. • Maintain clear communication with the project accountant team lead and the digital innovation CSM/FSR team via email and messaging portal. • Process expense transfer to the correct accounts within the MIS and ensuring proper approval and maintain a clear audit trail. • Support the Project Accountant team lead and Digital Innovation CSM/FSR team in coordinating and monitoring billing and collection. • Process billing voids and write-offs with appropriate approval • Maintain accurate customer account records, including invoices and contract documentation. • Initiate and manage customer account close-outs to ensure all MIS records are complete and accurate. • Review and monitor customer record updates in the CRM system, ensuring supporting documentation aligns with MIS billing records. • Accurately process payment and follow up with the relevant internal teams where necessary. • Monitor collections, maintain AR ledger comments, and engage directly with customers when required. • Escalate unresolved collection matter (60+ days outstanding) to the Project Accountant Team Lead and Digital Innovation CSM/FSR team. • Ensure compliance with the CSP process. • Participate in company wide initiatives, including quality assurance and continuous improvement.
