Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC United States Remote Contractor Job Description: Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Charlotte, NC(Remote). Candidates must have expert hands‑on experience with Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM), along with executing data validation and developing SQL‑based custom scripts. Rate Range: $53/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Engineer job responsibilities include: - Execute end‑to‑end Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) processes including data extraction, transformation, and loading for CAD and non‑CAD datasets. - Perform detailed data validation, integrity checks, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy throughout migration cycles. - Develop migration strategies, mapping documents, validation rules, and approach documentation for large‑scale PLM data transitions. - Create and optimize SQL scripts and custom utilities for data analysis, validation automation, and troubleshooting. - Collaborate effectively with onsite/offshore teams and directly engage with customers to gather requirements and resolve technical challenges. - Support ETL processes and leverage tools such as Informatica or Talend while utilizing scripting languages (Java, Python, Perl) for custom validations. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 8-10 years of experience in PLM data migration, Windchill systems, or related technical roles. - Strong expertise in Windchill architecture, WBM‑based data migration, and large‑scale CAD/non‑CAD data handling. - Proficiency in SQL (Oracle/SQL Server) and scripting (Java, Python, Perl) for custom validation, with familiarity in ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend.
