Job Description

Assistant Site Manager

Gray

• Function as the overall Site Manager during off rotation for the Site Manager • Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval • Assist in the development and management of project schedule • Prepare estimates in areas of self-performed work and assist in complete project estimate • Solicit prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval • Assist in selection of qualified bidders, negotiate final prices, draft subcontracts and purchase orders • Review all drawings and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times • Study specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements • Ensure required inspections are conducted per the project specifications • Communicate and enforce Gray’s safety program on site

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Minimum of three years of construction experience OR minimum five years related construction experience in place of a degree
  • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired - specifically within the food and beverage market
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents
  • Strong people management skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • MS project and other scheduling software a plus
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated individual
