A Day in the Life of the The Director, Sales Channel serves as the primary architect for retail, door‑to‑door, and local market field sales performance. This role is responsible for developing the strategic roadmap for customer acquisition, market expansion, channel productivity, and customer experience, ensuring field and retail sales teams are equipped with the tools, insights, and programs necessary to exceed growth targets. This role requires an analytical, data‑driven strategist with deep experience in telecommunications or subscription‑based sales models, and the ability to align sales, marketing, product, and operations to deliver high‑impact revenue outcomes. - Design annual and long-range Retail, Field sales, and Offline Affiliates strategies aligned to subscriber growth, revenue, and market share goals. - Evaluate market potential and recommend territory design, deployment models, and channel mix across D2D, community events, retail partnerships, and grassroots programs. - Build segmentation, targeting, and penetration strategies for single-family, MDU, SMB, New build/ROE, and competitive overbuild areas. - Partner with Key Stakeholders on new product Go-To-Market planning, adoption, and execution; including Mobile product suite and emerging products. - Collaborating cross functionally on Omni-channel Sales Strategy Development and Execution, including Telesales, Inbound Sales, Outbound Sales, and Technical Operations. - Define KPIs, dashboards, and performance reviews to measure individual, team, and channel productivity. - Partner with Sales Ops and Analytics to improve lead routing, forecasting, and rep-level performance visibility. - Identify product, pricing, or promotional opportunities that drive competitive advantage in each market. - Workforce planning and critical infrastructure needs assessments. - Partner with Training, Marketing, and Product to support new hire onboarding, continuous learning, and pitch optimization across our product suite: fiber, broadband, video, and mobile. - Ensure field reps have high-impact collateral, canvassing tools, event kits, and digital lead-capture solutions. - Drive disciplined execution of prospecting playbooks, including door-to-door, local partnership, and event strategies. - Act as the strategic liaison between Field Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Customer Experience teams. - Lead market growth initiatives during new product launches, market expansions, and network upgrades. - Support executive reporting, board-level insights, and strategic investment recommendations. - Align field execution with company strategy, goals, and customer needs. - Actively support, promote, and advance all aspects of Astound’s Inclusion and Belonging work, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard, and empowered. - Other duties as assigned.
