K-12 Facility Master Plan Director

• Develop and articulate a strategic growth vision for the K-12 Facility Master Plan Practice in alignment with market trends and MGT goals. • Drive proactive opportunity identification and expansion in priority markets. • Lead end-to-end priority sales efforts: from lead generation to proposal development, interview strategy, and final contract negotiation. • Attend and represent MGT at industry events and other regional conferences to grow market visibility and connections. • Run the cross-functional cadence that drives project predictability (planning, weekly ops reviews, escalation paths, decision logs) and ensures on-time, high-quality outcomes across all Facility Master Plan engagements. • Evaluate staffing capacity, readiness, and constraints; surface risks early; coordinate resourcing decisions to ensure delivery models are feasible. • Manage reliable reporting and forecasting of critical financial metrics while leading action-oriented plans driving desired results. • Work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment with multiple business units, including centralized marketing, BD, operations, and finance teams. • Promote a culture of transparency, continuous improvement, and shared success. • Serve as a trusted advisor to K-12 clients, understanding their needs and positioning MGT to provide high-value solutions. • Deliver and support an active set of Facility Master Plan engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes that exceed expectations. • Foster long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for expanding services within existing districts. • Collaborate with the centralized business development team, subject matter experts, and practice leadership to create persuasive and compliant proposals. • Lead and support proposal interviews and finalist presentations, coaching internal team members on strategy, messaging, and client engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, Business, Architecture, or a related field required
  • Five (5) or more years of sales leadership experience, preferably in public sector consulting, education services, or facilities planning.
  • Strong knowledge of K-12 education systems and facilities planning — former school district, AEC, or educational consulting background highly preferred.
  • Experience creating detailed, competitive, and compelling public-sector proposals.
  • Strong track record of building relationships with superintendents, business officers, and district facility leaders.
  • Ability to confidently present and engage with both technical and executive-level audiences.
  • Proven experience navigating complex organizations and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in the K-12 education or facilities space, including leadership or advisory roles (preferred).
  • Experience leading or contributing to facilities master plans, educational specifications, or school construction programs (preferred).
  • Deep familiarity with public procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQs, and public interviews (preferred).
  • CRM fluency (Salesforce or equivalent) and proposal management tools (preferred).
