• Support annual merit and bonus cycles, including scenario modeling, forecasting, and budget tracking. • Refine and maintain advanced compensation models—salary structures, pay bands, incentive designs, and cost analyses. • Partner closely with FP&A to ensure compensation recommendations align with budgetary guardrails and financial strategy. • Prepare executive‑level dashboards, presentations, and analyses for leadership and Board committees. • Conduct market benchmarking using survey providers (Pave, Mercer, Radford, Payscale, etc.). • Maintain and enhance job leveling frameworks; ensure consistent, equitable role alignment. • Evaluate new and updated roles for internal equity and competitive market position. • Utilize HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Rippling, ADP, UKG, SuccessFactors) to extract, validate, and analyze compensation and workforce data. • Independently gather, clean, and reconcile data from multiple systems (HRIS, ATS, Finance, etc.) to create unified insights in a single reporting environment. • Identify trends, compression risks, pay equity gaps, and financial impacts using advanced analytics. • Develop automated and ad‑hoc dashboards to support ongoing and strategic compensation decision‑making. • Support cyclical and ongoing pay equity reviews and regulatory compliance reporting. • Maintain compensation policies, ensuring alignment with compensation philosophy, best practices, and governance. • Create and update SOPs, manager guides, and compensation toolkits to drive consistency in compensation decisions. • Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness for all compensation‑related processes. • Partner with HRIS teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of compensation and employee data. • Support system configuration and data loads for compensation cycles, including merit uploads and bonus payouts. • Conduct periodic and exception‑based data audits to ensure integrity across systems. • Identify inefficiencies in compensation and broader P&C workflows; propose and implement process improvements. • Support strengthening documentation, workflows, and operational standards within P&C Operations. • Assist with workforce analytics, headcount reporting, and compensation documentation for compliance purposes.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in Compensation, Total Rewards, HR Analytics, Finance, or related analytical roles.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, scenario modeling).
- Demonstrated expertise using HRIS platforms for data extraction, reporting, and compensation cycle administration.
- Strong ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple systems to produce clear, centralized insights.
- Experience supporting annual merit and bonus programs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior leadership.
- High degree of discretion with confidential and sensitive information.

The incumbent is responsible for conducting investigations of organizational or functional activities related to alleged fraud, waste and abuse perpetrated by providers, members, facilities, pharmacies, groups and/or employees of the organizations and Subsidiaries. The incumbent is responsible for interviews which might include providers and members and may be conducted onsite or offsite. The incumbent is also responsible for the field investigative work necessary to complete a review of a special project, potential fraud, waste and abuse case, conducting the initial investigations and coordinating the recovery/savings of money related to fraud, waste and abuse. Must be able to testify in a court of law, prepare cases for referral to various federal, state and local law enforcement entities and work with those agencies through closure of the case. Conduct audits for proactive and investigative purposes to comply with internal audit and regulatory requirements. For this role, we are looking for Clinical Nursing and/or Medical Coding experience. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Performs investigations into potential and existing provider and member fraud, waste and abuse activities. Identifies parties involved by reviewing inquiries and complaints against providers, members, facilities, pharmacies, groups, and/or employees of Highmark and Subsidiaries. Conduct Interviews with providers, members or any other individual(s) necessary to complete an assigned investigation or special project. Determines the scope of the allegation or special project by assembling the necessary information, statistics, policies and procedures, licensure information, doctors’ agreements, contract, etc. - Coordinates data extracts by assessing multiple databases both internally and externally. Takes action to prevent further improper payments. Forwards case to the Credentialing and/or Medical Review Committee, law enforcement and regulatory agencies. - Develop and maintain annual anti-fraud program which includes facilitating fraud training and fraud awareness day, as well as filing annual fraud plans and reports according to state regulations. Responsible for updating annually the changes in insurance laws with regard to lines of business. - Will be called upon as a subject matter expert for Investigators. Will provide guidance and help train/mentor other team members. Could serve as a project lead for special projects within the department. - Responsible for completing all necessary field (externally) investigative work for resolution or alleged fraud/waste and abuse cases or special projects. - Provides advisory support as needed to internal and external law enforcement and regulatory agencies, Credentialing or Medical Review Committee. - Engages in delivery of audit results and overpayment negotiations. As the front line of the fraud intake process, the Fraud Intake Analyst plays a critical role in enabling downstream fraud analytics, detection improvements, incident response, and compliance reporting. The position partners closely with Fraud Operations, Compliance, Information Security, and business teams to connect signals across systems, identify discrepancies, and support post-incident reviews that uncover root causes and control gaps. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, operationally disciplined, and thrives in environments where precision and structured processes are essential. Success in this role is measured through improvements in intake accuracy, documentation quality, timeliness of incident handling, and the overall strength of the organization’s wire fraud defense capabilities. LOCATION - This role sits 100% remote.
