Job Description
Principal Product Designer
Gametime
• Own and evolve core consumer journeys across onboarding, discovery, search, event exploration, and decision-making. • Deeply understand our customers through qualitative research, quantitative data, and behavioral insights. • Lead ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces, framing opportunities and defining experience direction from first principles. • Design high-quality UI and UX, from early concepts and prototypes to polished, production-ready designs. • Concept and validate new value propositions that help users more easily discover, evaluate, and choose events. • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data to bring ideas to life and ensure high-quality execution. • Contribute to AI-enabled experiences—such as personalization, smarter discovery, or decision support—by shaping interaction models, user flows, and trust-building patterns, and by helping ship these features in production. • Drive activation and conversion outcomes through experimentation, iteration, and close collaboration with growth and analytics partners. • Use metrics and learning loops to evaluate impact and continuously improve the consumer experience. • Raise the bar for craft and product thinking, influencing design quality beyond your immediate projects. • Mentor and support other designers, contributing to a strong, thoughtful design culture.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience, with meaningful ownership of consumer-facing products.
- Proven success designing for activation, conversion, and complex decision-making flows.
- Strong end-to-end design skills: research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and systems thinking.
- Experience shipping and iterating on data- or AI-informed product features in production, not just concept work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and data partners on technically complex products.
- Strong product judgment—balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Comfort working with experimentation, metrics, and iterative delivery.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
Benefits
- Gametime is committed to bringing together individuals from different backgrounds and perspectives. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive, feel a sense of belonging, and do great work together.
- Equal opportunity employer, we prohibit any unlawful discrimination against a job applicant on the basis of their race, color, religion, veteran status, sex, parental status, gender identity or expression, transgender status, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
