Job Description

Senior Manager, Employee Development

HubSpot

POS-5131 The HubSpot People team is on a mission to Help Grow Getters grow better together. The Learning & Talent Development (L&TD) team is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Employee Development to build and drive critical professional development programs for Individual Contributors (ICs), modernize core learning experiences, and develop the team through strong people management and coaching. This is a unique opportunity to shape how HubSpotters grow their skills and perform at their best. You'll work across the business to design scalable, AI-powered approaches to professional development that equip employees for the future of work. You'll bring a track record of building learning programs from scratch at scale, as well as the flexibility to use a new playbook as AI continues to reshape what’s possible. We're looking for a strategic, action-oriented leader who partners and influences cross-functionally, coaches their team effectively, and is passionate about facilitating learning experiences to a variety of audiences. What You'll Do - Modernize and scale core IC programs: Fully redesign key core programs such as our program for high impact talent, and lead the next iteration of our company onboarding — making it AI-first and scalable. - Build a professional development curriculum for ICs: Design and deliver a scalable curriculum focused on durable skills that help HubSpotters become effective, well-rounded professionals — covering areas such as communication, influencing, and other critical skills. - Lead and develop people: Strengthen the team through effective people management and coaching, supporting team members in their growth, development, and performance. - Drive AI tool adoption for ICs: Lead the selection, evaluation, and integration of scalable AI development tools for ICs. Continuously scan the landscape for emerging tools that meet IC needs and drive their adoption into day-to-day workflows and existing programs. - Conduct needs analysis: Identify company-wide skill gaps and development opportunities, develop a deep understanding of the learner context, and use data from existing programs to continuously improve. - Design impactful experiences: Develop learning experiences that are AI-first, innovative, engaging, and grounded in instructional design best practices. Champion and develop strong knowledge of HubSpot’s existing learning tools and how best to deploy them. - Facilitate learning experiences: Facilitate virtual and in-person learning experiences confidently for a wide range of audiences, including senior stakeholders. - Leverage data for improvement: Use metrics, feedback, and AI-powered insights to evaluate program effectiveness, improve learner outcomes, and inform strategic decisions. - Model cross-functional collaboration: Build trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the business to drive alignment and maximize adoption of development programs. You Might Be a Fit If - You have significant experience building learning programs from scratch at scale — assessing needs, designing solutions that grow skills and performance, and using data to evaluate impact and continuously improve. - You bring the experience and the flexibility to use a new playbook, given AI's impact on how L&D works. - You have deep expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and modern approaches that make learning engaging, scalable, and impactful. - You've built AI-powered learning experiences for professional development — and you stay current on what's new in the landscape. - You're a skilled people manager and coach who raises the bar of those around you. - You're a confident facilitator who can deliver impactful experiences both virtually and in person, including with senior audiences. - You're a collaborative partner and strong communicator, able to influence and drive alignment with stakeholders at all levels. - You're highly skilled in program management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment. - You bring a growth mindset — with the curiosity to keep learning and the courage to pilot bold, new approaches. Why This Role - You'll get to experiment boldly with AI — piloting new tools, testing fresh ideas, and redefining what professional development can look like at scale. - You'll own meaningful, high-visibility programs that directly shape how HubSpotters grow and perform. - You'll lead and develop people, with real opportunity to build and elevate a team. - You'll join a highly talented, curious, and supportive L&TD team committed to doing great work together. - You'll be part of a mission-driven, values-aligned company where your work directly contributes to helping millions of organizations grow better.
