Apply today and help us shape the future of work—together SUMMARY: Lead the re-platforming and build-out of an internal KVM-based virtualization environment on new UCS hardware in the Ashburn data center. Integrate OpenStack and open-source automation tools to support the migration of workloads from legacy datacenter, ensuring robust, scalable, and automated infrastructure. HIERARCHY: Will report to the Service Delivery Manager PRIMARY DUTIES: - Tear down and rebuild existing ESX-based UCS blade environment, transitioning to KVM virtualization. - Design and implement an OpenStack platform for internal use, considering open-source alternatives to OpenShift due to current challenges. - Integrate SAN and NetApp storage solutions into the new platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. - Deploy and configure open-source automation tools (e.g., Ansible) for infrastructure management and orchestration. - Collaborate with internal staff (including offshore resources) and provide technical leadership and mentorship as needed. - Work closely with network architects and storage teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. - Document architecture, configuration, and operational procedures for the new environment. - Support ongoing platform enhancements and troubleshooting.
