POS-25527 The Revenue Manager oversees the full end-to-end revenue cycle and partners with various cross-functional teams to enhance revenue operations and lead accounting. This role requires the candidate to have a deep understanding and application of revenue recognition guidance for subscription, services, and usage-based revenue streams under US GAAP. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership and accounting expertise, with a passionate focus on continuous improvement of processes and controls.This role will also have direct people management responsibility and will report into the Senior Revenue Manager. In this role you’ll get to: - Work with key IT contacts to maximize automation of revenue recognition and serve as a key participant in the finalization of the implementation of a new Revenue Recognition system. - Review nonroutine contracts in partnership with Deal Desk and Legal to ensure proper revenue treatment under ASC 606 - Review and standardize month-end close processes while proactively finding ways to shorten close timelines and drive efficiency. - Serve as a subject matter expert around Revenue Accounting in resolving revenue accounting, process, and sales related issues that arise on a day-to-day basis related to the Company’s products, pricing, and non-routine revenue transactions. - Collaborate and coordinate with business partners to support business initiatives, drive process improvements, and implement policies and best practices - Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations and disclosures prepared by senior accountants impacting HubSpot Revenue. - Play a key role in coordination between Revenue Accounting and internal & external audit teams and ensure compliance of key accounting controls for Sarbanes Oxley purposes We are looking for people who have: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred - 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally a combination of public accounting firm and revenue accounting in the SaaS Tech industry - Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, Aptitude/RevStream experience preferred - Revenue Recognition implementation experience is a plus. - Big picture mindset to understand the impact of technical accounting decisions on the organization - Willingness to roll-up your sleeves when work needs to get done - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines - Strong oral and written skills and the ability to communicate with senior leaders Pay & Benefits The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles.
