About the Job As the Events Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening Chill’s supporter base by designing and executing strategic events that cultivate, steward, and grow relationships with current and prospective donors. This role will help build a robust pipeline of major donors by creating meaningful opportunities for connection, engagement, and long-term investment in Chill’s mission. The Events Manager will lead a portfolio of high-impact cultivation and stewardship events including intimate donor dinners, curated experiences, and premium fundraising activations that deepen relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners, and emerging prospects. This role is responsible for end-to-end event strategy, planning, logistics and sponsor integration, ensuring every experience reflects Chill’s brand and mission while advancing donor stewardship priorities and contributing to the organization’s annual revenue goals. Primary Responsibilities: Event Management & Logistics (50%) - Lead the strategy and execution of a portfolio of high-impact cultivation and stewardship events designed to deepen relationships with existing supporters, introduce prospective donors to Chill, and grow the organization’s major donor pipeline. - Manage end-to-end event planning and logistics, including venue selection, vendors, program development, run-of-show, volunteer management and onsite execution to deliver exceptional, mission-aligned donor experiences. - Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor contracts to ensure efficient planning and strong return on investment aligned with event goals. - Collaborate with Marketing and Development on invitation strategy, storytelling, and post-event stewardship communications that reinforce Chill’s impact and deepen donor relationships. - Partner with the Board of Directors and key donors to leverage their networks for donor introductions, event attendance, sponsorship opportunities, and meaningful engagement with major donor prospects. - Solicit sponsorships and in-kind donations that enhance donor events and support fundraising goals. Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management (25%) - Identify, recruit and support high-net-worth individuals and key stakeholders to serve on event committees. - Collaborate with Development relationship managers to align event strategies with individual donor portfolio goals and fundraising targets, including identifying event hosts and prospects for donor dinners and curated gatherings. - Lead post-event stewardship efforts, ensuring personalized and timely follow-up with attendees, sponsors, and major donor prospects to deepen engagement and advance relationships. - Maintain accurate donor, sponsor, and engagement records within the CRM to support coordinated relationship management and pipeline tracking. - Provide logistical support for development campaigns and special fundraising initiatives as needed. Partnership & Sponsor Development (25%) - Develop and manage event sponsorship opportunities that contribute to financial success of events. - Prospect and cultivate new corporate partners through strategic outreach and relationship building. - Steward existing sponsors through high-touch engagement, ensuring partners feel meaningfully connected to Chill’s mission and impact. - Collaborate with corporate partners to integrate their brands authentically into events through curated activations, speaking opportunities, and hospitality experiences. - Ensure all sponsor benefits and deliverables are executed professionally and in alignment with partnership agreements. Additional Responsibilities: - Travel to event markets 6-8 times annually. - Support other signature events (e.g., golf tournaments, ride days, partner activations) as needed. - Contribute to cross-departmental collaboration and organizational culture initiatives. The full salary range for this role is $65,190 - $81,490 annually. We construct our salaries in such a way that staff can in the future move through the range as they grow within their level. Candidates will start at the specified hiring range for this role. Chill follows a non-negotiation policy for salaries that applies to both current and new hires, as research shows that salary negotiations may lead to negative outcomes for individuals from non-dominant groups. - Chill offers a competitive and unique suite of benefits to promote health and financial wellness for you and your family.
