IT Systems Engineer – Linux/Platform Operations
JMA Wireless
• own and manage our Linux infrastructure and Dev-facing platform operations • responsible for the reliability, performance, security, and compliance of our Linux environments • administration of Atlassian products (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) and other development-supporting platforms • comfortable operating across both infrastructure and development teams • bring strong Linux administration depth • has experience supporting compliance frameworks such as CMMC, SOC2, and/or ISO 27001
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Linux systems administration
- Strong experience with Linux server management, including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions
- Experience administering Atlassian products (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) or similar development platforms
- Solid understanding of disk management, storage, and file system operations in Linux
- Experience with patch deployment and management in Linux environments
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Experience supporting development teams and understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and development workflows
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CMMC, SOC2, ISO 27001) and experience implementing or supporting related controls
- Experience with system monitoring tools and proactive troubleshooting
- Strong documentation skills
- Familiarity with Windows environments sufficient to provide backup support to the Enterprise Systems role
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
