Role Description We are seeking a Principal Product Manager, LLM Innovation to lead how Large Language Models (LLMs) are applied across Headspace to unlock new product capabilities, elevate member experiences, and drive business impact. Sitting at the intersection of product strategy, AI, and customer needs, this role owns the roadmap for LLM-driven innovation, guiding cross-functional teams to explore, validate, and scale generative AI solutions that support personalized care and engagement throughout the wellness journey. As the product leader in this space, you will translate emerging LLM opportunities into practical, user-centered products that align with business goals, accelerate responsible innovation, and position Headspace as a leader in applied generative AI within mental health and well-being. What you will do: - Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for LLM-based product innovation across Headspace - Identify, prototype, and validate high-impact generative AI use cases in partnership with engineering, research, and design - Translate complex LLM capabilities into intuitive, valuable user experiences - Drive cross-functional alignment across product, data science, design, go-to-market, and operations - Establish scalable frameworks, best practices, and reusable systems for LLM integration - Evaluate external tools, vendors, and partnerships to inform build vs. buy decisions - Define success metrics and KPIs to ensure LLM initiatives deliver measurable user and business outcomes - Serve as an internal thought leader and champion for responsible, forward-looking AI innovation Qualifications - 10+ years in product management with at least 3+ years leading AI or machine learning initiatives - Strong technical fluency in Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, natural language processing, and AI-driven product development - Proven ability to take emerging technologies from exploration to scalable product impact - Strategic thinker with the ability to execute, balancing long-term vision with delivery, user-first mindset with a track record of translating technical capabilities into customer value - Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills - Strong understanding of the generative AI landscape, including vendors, research trends, and regulatory considerations Requirements - Location: San Francisco (hybrid), Los Angeles (remote), New York City (remote), and Seattle (remote) - Candidates must permanently reside in the US full-time and be based in these cities - For candidates with a primary residence in the greater SF area, this role will follow our hybrid model, working 3 days per week from our office Benefits - The anticipated new hire base salary range for this full-time position is $205,200-$327,750 + equity + benefits - Comprehensive healthcare coverage - Monthly wellness stipend - Retirement savings match - Lifetime Headspace membership - Generous parental leave - Additional details about our Total Rewards package will be provided during the recruitment process
