Role Description We are looking for a Senior Associate to support deal execution and portfolio management at Gate Ventures. This position involves hands-on sourcing, diligence, and working closely with Partners on high-impact investments. - Source potential investments through network, research, and proactive outreach. - Conduct in-depth due diligence on protocols, teams, markets, and token models. - Build financial models, analyze on-chain data, and prepare investment memos. - Support deal negotiation, term sheet drafting, and closing processes. - Monitor and support existing portfolio companies, including performance tracking and founder assistance. - Contribute to market research, thesis development, and internal reporting. - Assist in pipeline management and weekly updates on opportunities. Qualifications - 3–5 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, or crypto operations/research (prior crypto VC or protocol experience strongly preferred). - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in on-chain tools (e.g., Dune, Nansen), token economics, and market trend analysis. - Demonstrated ability to evaluate early-stage crypto projects and identify emerging narratives. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing investment recommendations. - Crypto-native mindset with active participation in the ecosystem (e.g., contributions to protocols, public writing, or community involvement). - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field; CFA or similar a plus.
