Job Description

Revenue Integrity Analyst

Shriners Children's

• Ensure all items and services charged through the Charge Description Master (CDM) are described, coded, and priced appropriately • Educate ancillary departmental and clinical staff on required changes for regulatory and payor changes • Conduct charge capture assessment activities including interviews, research, and outcomes analysis • Provide analysis, documentation, and recommendations for changes to the CDM • Maintain communication with revenue departments regarding operational opportunities • Collaborate with department managers and staff to identify areas of deficiency and develop process improvements • Document all changes and revisions to CDM using appropriate software • Perform audits focusing on revenue cycle integrity • Develop ongoing education programs on charge capture and billing processes for staff members

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience performing CDM related activities
  • Experience with CPT-based coding principles from both inpatient and outpatient reimbursement perspective
  • Experience with UB-04, MA claim form, and HCFA-1500 charge development process
  • Associate's Degree in business/accounting/finance or healthcare business administration - or combination education and experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Epic EMR required
