Role Description This role will focus on lead generation and early-stage qualification, enabling senior sellers to concentrate on closing and onboarding. The position is highly hands-on and output-driven, involving: - Lead research - List building - Outbound outreach via email and social DMs - Qualification - Meeting scheduling Core Tasks: - Build targeted lead lists of high-potential sellers and supply partners, including: - Marketplace sellers (e.g., eBay/other resale marketplaces) - Brands/retailers and brick-and-mortar stores (category-dependent) - Social-first sellers and creators (e.g., Instagram-based sellers) - Find and verify contact information (email, social handles, store contacts, decision-makers) using approved tools and manual research. - Execute outbound outreach across channels, with an emphasis on: - Direct messages (Instagram and other relevant platforms) - Email outreach (where available/appropriate) - Qualify and prioritize leads based on agreed criteria (seller size, inventory mix, category fit, geography, responsiveness, potential value, etc). - Schedule meetings for senior sales/AM team members (calendar coordination, reminders, agenda alignment, and meeting prep). - Maintain CRM hygiene and pipeline accuracy: - Log all activities, update lead status/stage, add notes, tag categories/verticals - Ensure lead sources and outreach channel attribution are captured cleanly - Quick company/store research, background notes, talking points, lightweight “one-pagers”. - Collaborate on messaging iteration: - Track what’s working by vertical/channel and grow to suggest A/B tests for copy, targeting, and sequencing - Partner closely with the Supply and Biz Dev leadership team to refine the ICP and continuously improve lead quality. Qualifications - 2+ years experience in lead generation, outbound BDR/SDR, or sales development (B2B or marketplace/supply is a plus). - Strong written English for outreach that is clear, professional, and brand-appropriate. - Demonstrated ability to do high-quality research and build clean, accurate lead lists. - Comfort with multichannel outreach, including social DMs (Instagram experience strongly preferred). - Highly organized and detail-oriented (CRM updates, list hygiene, consistent tracking). - Output-driven mindset with comfort being measured against weekly activity and pipeline metrics. - Comfort using AI tools to speed up research and personalization (while maintaining accuracy and quality). - Ability to work US team hours with meaningful overlap (Detroit/Eastern time preferred). Requirements - Experience supporting marketplaces, e-commerce, resale, retail, or seller acquisition. - Experience with category-specific targeting and building vertical playbooks. - Cold calling experience (optional, depending on how the process evolves). - Experience writing outreach sequences and testing messaging frameworks.
