Role Overview As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be embedded with one of our core platform engineering teams, taking ownership of a specific set of APIs and services that form the backbone of our innovative bill pay platform. Your mission is to drive the execution and evolution of these critical services. While much of the high-level strategic direction will come from our executive team, you will be the expert for your domain, responsible for translating those goals into an actionable roadmap. You will work to empower our internal engineering teams, accelerating their ability to ship new features by providing a reliable, scalable, and well-documented platform to build upon. What We're Looking For You’re a pragmatic product leader who thrives on building foundational technology in a fast-paced startup environment. You will thrive in this role if you are: - A Pragmatic Leader: You excel at turning high-level strategy into tactical plans and championing thoughtful trade-offs between speed and long-term platform health. - A Strategic Translator: You understand top-level business objectives and can translate them into a clear, prioritized roadmap for your engineering team. - An Accountable Owner: You take deep accountability for your platform's success, reliability, and security, partnering with engineering to define and track key metrics like SLOs. - A Collaborative Hub: You're an exceptional communicator who aligns engineering, stakeholders, and leadership around a shared vision and clear progress. - Resilient & Adaptable: You navigate ambiguity with confidence, viewing shifting priorities as opportunities to learn and innovate. Responsibilities - Translate company strategy into a detailed, sequenced roadmap for your team's APIs and services. - Collaborate with engineering and executive leadership to refine the roadmap and ensure business alignment. - Conduct research with internal developers to ensure the platform provides a world-class developer experience (DX). - Author clear PRDs, epics, and user stories that articulate the "what" and "why" of new capabilities. - Manage and prioritize the team's backlog to focus engineering efforts on the most impactful work. - Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, developer guides, and release notes. - Define and analyze key technical and product metrics (e.g., API usage, performance, SLOs) to measure impact. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - 5+ years of experience in technical product management, with a strong preference for experience with internal platforms or developer-facing API products. - Deep understanding of API design principles and what constitutes a great developer experience. - Experience creating and maintaining high-quality API documentation for technical audiences (e.g., using OpenAPI/Swagger, Stoplight, ReadMe, or similar tools). Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment. - Experience within the Fintech industry. Who We Are Each year U.S. households spend over $3.8 trillion - about one third of all consumer spending - on recurring bill payments. While staying on top of these bills is the single largest determinant for consumer financial health, organizing and paying them can be a time-consuming and frustrating chore. Since its inception, doxo has been on a mission to simplify and reduce the anxiety of staying on top of bills, empowering consumers to improve their financial health. Our company was founded on the simple idea that there should be an easy and more secure way for consumers to pay all of their bills through a single account, with any payment method, on any device. As consumers shift more bill payments online and to mobile, doxo continues to experience rapid growth. To date, over eight million doxo users across 97% of U.S. zip codes have paid bills through the payment network, across more than 45 different service categories. With more than 120,000 payable billers, doxo’s proprietary, crowd-sourced provider directory is the largest in the nation. doxo is consistently recognized as both an innovative company and a great place to work by the likes of Inc. Magazine, Deloitte, Comparably, and BuiltIn. Come join us as we grow the team to further accelerate growth, forever changing the bill pay landscape to focus on the customer.
