Associate General Counsel
A Place for Mom
• Provide legal support and guidance to APFM across various business operations and functions to manage risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations • Lead engagement across internal business departments to identify and resolve legal issues, and support business verticals • Manage corporate governance and administer equity plan • Negotiate high-impact agreements and serve as escalation pathway as needed during contract disputes • Liaise with Human Resources for resources and claims • Draft and update company policies and procedures • Partner with Head of Government affairs in proactive and reactive legislative activity • Partner with finance and banking to maintain internal financial controls, and support annual audit activities • Day-to-day management of intellectual property portfolio • Serve as Secretary to 401(k) Committee • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- License to practice in any state
- Minimum seven years’ experience, both law firm and in-house experience preferred, health care experience a plus
- Excellent legal research, writing, and editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
- Ability to produce results with high efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to balance risk and agility
- Self-starter and independent working style, understands when to escalate and what can be managed without General Counsel buy-in

General Description: BeOne is seeking an experienced Market Access Attorney to provide expert advice and strategic guidance to the business on a wide range of market access initiatives, including pricing, reimbursement, and distribution strategies. This role will help to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while partnering with the business to achieve its objectives in a competitive and evolving landscape. The successful candidate will have 10+ years of relevant legal experience representing biopharmaceutical companies in North America. This position will be located in the United States, either remote or at one of our offices in San Carlos, CA, Cambridge, MA, or Hopewell, NJ. Essential Functions: - Advise on legal issues related to market access, including government pricing, reimbursement, formulary placement, and patient support programs. - Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with payers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), specialty pharmacies, and other stakeholders. - Provide guidance on federal and state laws impacting market access, including: anti-kickback statutes; requirements under Medicaid, 340B, and other government programs; state drug pricing transparency laws; OIG guidance documents and advisory opinions; and the False Claims Act. - Monitor and advise on current and evolving legislation, regulatory changes, and enforcement trends related to market access, and communicate implications to internal stakeholders. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to develop effective and compliant strategies for product launches and lifecycle management. - Support internal training and policy development related to market access, to help ensure adherence to applicable legal and compliance standards.
