Role Description We are searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset to lead the evolution of Tenna’s cloud infrastructure. In this high-impact role, you will help shape our DevOps practices, drive innovation across systems architecture, and enable the Engineering Team to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable services. As a senior member of the Engineering organization, you will be hands-on in developing automation solutions, optimizing performance and cost efficiency, and mentoring the team on modern DevOps best practices. This role requires a strong foundation in infrastructure as code, cloud-native technologies, and continuous delivery pipelines. Responsibilities - Design scalable, redundant, cost-effective, and fault-tolerant infrastructure for our production systems. - Proactively manage infrastructure costs and make optimization recommendations. - Help migrate existing applications into Kubernetes and support container orchestration strategies. - Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and operational tooling to support rapid development and deployment cycles. - Write high-quality JavaScript code and Bash scripts to automate infrastructure processes and troubleshoot issues. - Design, build, and maintain systems and tools to automate operational processes and enhance developer productivity. - Develop comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to increase visibility across environments. - Automate incident response where appropriate and ensure quick recovery from system issues. - Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation. - Work closely with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to troubleshoot issues and develop creative solutions. - Educate development teams to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, single points of failure, and scaling constraints. - Stay up to date on relevant technologies, trends, and opportunities to ensure we always use leading techniques and tools appropriate for the company. - Actively participate in planning meetings and collaborate with the team to identify and implement the best technical solution for the company. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience with at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Node.js, Golang, Python, or C#. - 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and managing AWS environments. - 5+ years of experience with Linux systems, including administration, operations, and networking. - Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments. - Strong experience managing distributed messaging systems, preferably RabbitMQ. - Deep experience supporting and optimizing both SQL and NoSQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL and DynamoDB. - Experience deploying, managing, and scaling microservices in production environments, preferably using Node.js. - Experience with build automation tools, preferably GitHub Actions. - Experience with configuration management and workflow automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform. - Strong understanding of security best practices, DevSecOps principles, and compliance automation. - Hands-on experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization at the infrastructure level. - A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required. - Experience in monitoring and supporting highly available, large-scale web applications in production is a plus. - Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch is a plus. - Exposure to IoT platforms or experience supporting infrastructure for connected devices is a huge plus. - Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux is a plus. The DevOps Architect will take a higher-level approach—designing frameworks that guide teams and systems toward automation excellence. The DevOps Architect acts as both strategist and engineer, designing systems that ensure automation, scalability, and operational excellence. key responsibilities: Designing the framework for scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines. Overseeing the architecture of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates for consistent environment provisioning. Recommend Integration of DevOps tools across multi cloud environments. Establish governance, monitoring, and compliance frameworks. Define automation standards and best practices in consultation with engineering teams. Define and guide code-driven automation. Operate across multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OCI and Google Cloud. The DevOps Architect ensures seamless interoperability between these environments—maintaining performance, security, and cost efficiency. Design frameworks and reference architectures that embrace DevSecOps principles, embedding security checks into every stage of the CI/CD pipeline.
