AV Design Intern
S&L Integrated
• Support the design and documentation of commercial audio-visual systems used in corporate offices, education, government, houses of worship and other professional environments • Gain exposure to real projects—from concept through installation • Assist with the design of commercial AV systems, including video, audio, control, and collaboration technologies • Create and update drawings such as system layouts, floor plans, elevations, and rack drawings • Support senior engineers with equipment selection, system documentation, and design reviews • Learn to interpret architectural drawings, scopes of work, and client requirements • Assist in developing bills of materials (BOMs) and technical documentation • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering, project management, and installation teams • Occasionally visit job sites to better understand system implementation and installation best practices
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience using AutoCAD software or similar
- Strong interest in audio-visual systems, technology integration, and design
- Ability to read technical drawings and learn industry standards
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and organization
