The Work: The Payments Consultant will support federal e‑commerce storefronts and payment initiatives by combining strong payment operations knowledge with solid project management skills. In this role, you’ll help shape business requirements, partner with technical teams working in Agile environments, and guide clients through implementing and improving their payment workflows. We’re looking for someone who understands payment operations from both the technical and business perspectives. You’ll provide thoughtful analysis, identify opportunities to streamline processes, and help business and finance teams optimize how they manage payments. This role involves program management across the full payments lifecycle—including payments, refunds, and chargebacks—so comfort working with transaction data and payment metrics is essential. You’ll translate complex concepts into clear, practical recommendations that enhance performance, strengthen compliance, and improve the overall user experience for federal stakeholders. Here's what you need: - Bachelor’s degree + 2 years relevant experience OR 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree - Project Management experience - Adept at Business Requirements Gathering - Business Process Documentation expertise - Payment Operations experience Bonus points if you have: - Payments & Cards Regulatory and Compliance experience - Experience working with payment processors, networks, card brands, banks, or other financial institutions - Technical architecture design experience - Experience working on fraud mitigation processes or applications As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
