Role Description We are seeking a Managing Director, Analytics, who will serve as the business owner for a $3MM+ marquee analytics healthcare account, responsible for maintaining existing business and client satisfaction, bringing new and evolving analytics offerings, and driving portfolio growth across a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. This leader will shape the vision, operating model, and commercial strategy for a large, multi-brand analytics portfolio while ensuring excellence in delivery, innovation, and team development. This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—including Boston, Chicago, Carmel, Lambertville, or Wilmington—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs. What You’ll Do - Business Ownership & Client Growth Strategy - Own the ongoing success of a marquee $3MM+ analytics business in top 10 global pharma, ensuring retention, modernization, and structured year-over-year growth. - Develop and execute commercial plans, modernize capabilities, and create scalable operating models that expand the value of Real Chemistry Analytics across therapeutic areas and client organizations. - Identify opportunities to expand scope, introduce new analytics and broader RC capabilities, and deepen client partnership. - Maintain and grow existing revenue streams through proactive planning, value articulation, and commercial excellence. - Guide multi-brand portfolios encompassing digital analytics, social listening, measurement, RWD, primary market research and audience insights. - Serve as a senior advisor to Director–C-Suite clients, ensuring strong relationships, high-quality work, and long-term growth. - Design digital analytics and measurement approaches that translate data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations. - Oversee annual planning, KPIs, governance, and reporting structures across all analytics workstreams. - Ensure insights inform strategy across brand, disease, corporate reputation, and HCP/patient engagement initiatives. - Support new business opportunities through pitches, RFP responses, and capability presentations. - Lead, Inspire, and Develop Your Team - Motivate and galvanize a team of next-generation social listening researchers, foster curiosity, innovation, and excellence. - Mentor and in some cases directly manage Directors, Senior Managers, and Analysts through structured development and coaching. - Manage staffing, capacity planning, work allocation, and career progression. - Build a culture centered on excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Ensure Delivery Excellence - Oversee the development of social listening reports, landscapes, stakeholder deep dives, monitoring programs, and measurement deliverables. - Provide guidance on storylines, insights, recommendations, and client-ready narratives. - Strengthen processes, templates, and QA to ensure rigor, accuracy, consistency, and executive-ready storytelling. - Champion the use of AI tools to improve efficiency, analytical depth, and output quality. - Manage Financial & Operational Performance - Lead budgets, forecasting, profitability, and staffing across a large portfolio. - Partner with finance and account teams on pricing, renewals, and quarterly planning. - Drive operational efficiencies, optimize delivery models, and identify opportunities to improve margins without sacrificing quality. - Refine operating structures, processes, and resource plans to support scalability and growth. - Drive Thought Leadership & Innovation - Shape Real Chemistry’s POV on next-generation social intelligence, analytics methodologies, and stakeholder insight approaches. - Develop case studies, frameworks, and thought leadership that elevate the Analytics practice’s visibility and impact. - Partner with leadership, innovation, and data engineering/technology teams to develop new research modalities and tools that enhance speed, depth, and sophistication of insights. - Integrate AI tools into workflows to accelerate insight development, streamline analysis, and enhance strategic outputs. - Champion frameworks and repeatable products that deliver efficiency and scalability across brands. Qualifications - 12-15+ years in social media analytics, digital analytics, social listening, or related research fields in healthcare, specifically. - Deep expertise with social listening and earned media analysis tools, taxonomies, audience segmentation, and measurement methodologies (i.e., Quid, BrandWatch, Meltwater, StatSocial, Audiense, Pathmatics). - Strong understanding of digital behaviors and motivations of patients, caregivers, and HCPs and strategies to reach them through an omnichannel model. - Track record of leading high revenue accounts, complex portfolios in healthcare, within large multi-capability agencies. - Exceptional communication, data storytelling, and client-facing consulting skills. - Demonstrated experience developing and scaling high-performing teams. - Strong operational and financial management capabilities. - Comfort using AI tools to enhance insight development, efficiency, and analysis. Pay Range $220,000-$223,250. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
