A Kiteworks Senior Sales Engineer is deeply technical with excellent customer skills and is committed to solving prospects' and customers' problems and pain points using a consultative approach. When deploying enterprise software, you are the guru; a track record of happy, referenceable customers can demonstrate this. They appreciate your technical acumen and your diligence: no details about a customer project can get by you. As our key technical advisor and product advocate, you will actively drive and manage the sales process from technology evaluation to Customer Success. You will engage with prospects to help them understand the solutions Kiteworks can provide an organization. Location: ​Mid-Atlantic Region What You'll Do - Educate prospective customers about the solutions the Kiteworks platform offers; present market comparisons of our competitors to demonstrate the advantage of choosing Kiteworks - Provide intensive pre-sales technical consulting to the sales staff and prospective Kiteworks clients, participating in online demonstrations of our product, conference calls, and onsite visits. - Drive the pre-sales process to close business and increase the dollar value of the PO through a consultative and collaborative approach with the prospect. Document success criteria and ensure all business requirements are met using the application - Consult with the Regional Sales Manager during the proposal process to ensure that all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements - Support Account Management, Marketing, Customer Success, and customers to ensure newly released features are understood & how they might increase the value of existing installations - Document market feedback and collaborate with Product Management to ensure future iterations of the Kiteworks platform fit our clients' business needs - Provide product responses for RFPs/RFIs. Own the process from start to finish What You'll Bring - Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics (or equivalent), or 7 years of relevant experience - Experience with High-Level Architecture Design, Networking, and Security - Familiar with MFT, File Transfer, Networking, Security, Middleware, or B2B solutions - Protocols: SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, S3, AS*, and other file transfer protocols - Hands-on development experience with some of the following: JavaScript, Python, PHP, XML, SQL, SOAP, REST APIs - Knowledge of enterprise security standards like: SAML, LDAP(S), SSO, Syslog, SIEM, HSM - Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) - Strong analytical skills and keen analytical prowess - Experience in matching customer requirements to a given solution and managing the Proof of Value (PoV) process to sell the solution - Problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Effective communication skills, encompassing active listening, public speaking, presentation skills, and written expression - Capability and self-motivation to learn new technologies - Ability and willingness to travel occasionally. - Must be located in Mid-Atlantic Region The Values That Define Us - Execution – We deliver results with focus, ownership, and consistency. Compensation Range: - Annual Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 - Base pay depends on many factors, such as location, education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Kiteworks competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Job Benefits - Medical: Three Cigna plans (PPO250, EPO, HDHP3300); employees pay 10% of premiums for the PPO and EPO plans and no premium contribution for the HDHP plan. - HSA: Company contributes $1,200–$2,400/year for HDHP enrollees - Dental & Vision: Fully employer-paid (Cigna/EyeMed) - FSA: Healthcare FSA ($3,400) and Dependent Care FSA ($7,500) - 401(k): 100% match on first 75% of deferred compensation, capped at $5,000; immediately vested - Life & Disability: Fully employer-paid; BasicLife/AD&D (1× salary up to $200K), STD (60% salary for non-CA employees and 20% for CA employees up to $2,500/week), LTD (60% salary up to $12,500/month) - Parental Leave: 8 weeks for non-birthing parents;16 weeks for birthing parents (100% base salary) Job Benefits - Base pay depends on many factors, such as location, education, experience, and skills. Although this role is remote, the ideal candidate will be in Texas, US or in the Northeast US (NY, NJ, CT, Boston area) Absolute Security is looking for a Sales Engineer (SE) to provide technical sales support as a solution expert within our fast-growing North American Enterprise business. The SE is a highly technical sales professional who is responsible for working with their account teams to drive significant revenue growth within the region. The SE manages the technical sales process, primarily during the discovery and validation stages of the sales process. The SE is a technical evangelist for our software platform, representing the company with potential customers, partners, and at events. You are skilled at performing detailed discovery that uncovers the customers’ current state and negative consequences, understanding their desired future state and positive business outcomes, and positioning technical solutions that provide real business value. You can tailor demonstrations to align with the pain discovered. You can build Proof of Value (PoV) plans that validate the solution is strongly aligned with the customer needs and delivers quantifiable business value. You can work with the customer to lead the PoV and then partner with your account teams to deliver a strong PoV summary document and wrap-up presentations. You can smoothly handle objections while remaining focused on the important differentiators. Finally, you can effectively build technical champions inside accounts and operate independently of them, but in partnership with your AE and CAM. Your deep product knowledge, as well as in-depth knowledge of security, networking, and operating systems will help you to effectively position our products, while also helping to solve difficult technical problems for potential customers during pre-sales presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations. What You’ll Do - Partner with your account team to establish and execute sales strategy across your assigned region - Assist in continued qualification and discovery to ensure the solutions being proposed solves pain for the customer - Deliver tailored technical sales presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers and partners - Plan and execute Proof of Value (PoV, evaluation) activities.
