Your Typical, Atypical, Day: - This role has variety at its core. From facilitating meetings to overseeing monthly and yearly financial closes, no day will be a typical day. - You will be overseeing all accounting operations, including invoicing, payroll, financial analysis and reporting, monthly closes, accounts receivable and payable, and more. - You will need to roll up your sleeves and get deep into some Excel/Gsheets work on a regular basis. - You will be supervising, coaching and growing our current internal finance team. - You will be on a constant lookout to identify opportunities for automation and system and process improvements, and will proactively create and implement efficient, smart solutions for the team. - You’ll be working with a variety of different tasks, so the ability to shift context, communicate, prioritize, and evaluate needs is central to this role. - You will be working in a fully remote capacity! Qualifications - You are a naturally curious problem-solver. - You are an Excel/G-Sheets guru and an analytical thinker. - You are able to zoom out and look at the financials with a bird’s eye view. - You are a communicator at your core. - You lead with integrity in all that you say and do. - You have experience supervising, managing, and growing both domestic and offshore teams (5+ years of team management experience required). - You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or something similar, and 10+ years of progressive, relevant experience, with at least 8 of those years being at a Controller level. - You’re pals with GAAP. Advanced degree in accounting, CPA or CMA preferred. Requirements - In-depth experience with all accounting and bookkeeping functions related to monthly and annual accounting close processes and financial reporting. - Expert-level proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas (e.g. nested functions, array formulas, lookups, query/filter functions, conditional logic, pivot tables, macros). - Experience with identifying and implementing system improvements and automation. - A proven track record of exceptional teamwork and managerial skills. - Strong working knowledge of key software, including G-Suite, Excel, Quickbooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, and Ramp. • Build the accounting infrastructure • Design and own Relay's in-house crypto accounting layer — cost basis, FIFO/LIFO treatment, on-chain transaction recognition, and multi-asset reconciliation • Define how Relay Fees, Gas Fees, and Rebalance Fees are captured with FMV, coin, timestamp, and rate at transaction level • Partner with Data and Engineering to build the wallet inventory, balance sheet inputs, and financial tables that underpin the P&L • Own the close process • Run month-end and quarter-end close end-to-end: P&L, balance sheet and reconciliation • Establish mark-to-market processes and on-chain reconciliation across all wallets and chains • Drive toward a complete, auditable financials

Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant or experienced Financial Controller to assist with a short-term accounting project focused on cleaning up prior-period financial records. This role requires a strong technical understanding of balance sheets, journal entries, and financial reporting, along with solid hands-on experience using QuickBooks. The successful candidate will initially support a 3–6 month clean-up project. If the engagement proves successful, there is strong potential for ongoing Financial Controller–level work supporting the business on a regular basis. • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and job cost accounting. • Work closely with FP&A, Billing Operations and Purchasing ensuring financials data properly flows through our ERP correctly and providing various analysis to multiple levels of the organization. • Manage and maintain Work-in-Process (WIP) schedules, including revenue recognition and job profitability analysis. • Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliation management and compliance. • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting. • Monitor job costing, project margins, and contract accounting for construction projects. • Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies. • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and ERP consultants. • Lead the annual audit and tax preparation process. • Oversee the sales tax reporting process. • Be the ERP Subject Matter Expert with Sedona ERP general ledger, table set-ups, process flow and reporting. • Support purchase accounting and integration of new acquisitions. • Provide financial insights and analysis to executive leadership to support operational and strategic decisions. • Manage and mentor accounting staff.
