This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description Fabric is looking for a Senior Manager of Global Payroll & Benefits to own the employment infrastructure that powers our people operations across the US and internationally. This role sits at the heart of the People team, responsible for the architecture, implementation, and management of payroll and benefits systems that are scalable, compliant, and automated to support rapid headcount growth and international expansion. You will serve as the operational backbone of the People team, owning payroll, benefits, compliance, and systems across our dual US entities, a Management Services Organization (MSO) and Professional Corporation (PC), and growing global footprint. You will be a key partner to Finance, Legal, and executive leadership, playing a central role in how we integrate acquired companies and stand up new markets as Fabric continues to scale. What You'll Do - Dual-Entity Payroll Execution: Execute end-to-end payroll across our dual US entities while maintaining strict operational and legal separation between clinical and corporate payrolls, with consolidated reporting for Finance. - Global Tax Compliance: Own multi-state and multi-national tax compliance, including jurisdictional registrations, statutory filings, and year-end reporting across all active regions. - Finance Partnership: Partner with Finance on payroll funding, cash flow forecasting, and GL mapping, and lead all payroll-related audits, 401(k) testing, and Workers' Comp filings. - Benefits Architecture: Design and administer a scalable US benefits portfolio including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)/HSA tailored to both corporate staff and clinical providers. - Global Total Rewards: Manage statutory and supplemental benefit schemes globally, ensuring local market competitiveness within a unified total rewards philosophy. - M&A Integration: Lead the payroll and benefits workstream for M&A activity from pre-acquisition due diligence through full workforce integration, ensuring accuracy in compensation and benefits from Day 1. - International Expansion: Establish the framework for rapidly onboarding new international entities and Employer of Record (EOR) partnerships as the business expands. - HRIS Ownership: Serve as the product owner for our global HRIS and payroll tech stack, building automated workflows for onboarding, leave administration, and offboarding to eliminate manual processes and minimize error. Why You Might Be a Good Fit - You are a compliance-first operator who finds real satisfaction in building airtight controls and systems that hold up under scrutiny. - You understand how HR data and finance connect, specifically how payroll touches the general ledger, tax liability, and cash flow. - You are drawn to automating and streamlining processes, and you have the technical fluency to turn inefficient workflows into scalable systems. - You enjoy the complexity of M&A and the challenge of bringing acquired teams into a unified, well-run structure. - You are a collaborative leader who is comfortable as a strategic partner to Finance, Legal, and executive leadership, not just an operator behind the scenes. - You are energized by growth and the nuance of managing people operations across multiple geographies and regulatory environments. This Might Not Be The Right Fit If... - You are looking for a steady-state role managing an established payroll function, as this role requires evolving systems in a fast-changing environment. - You prefer a purely domestic scope, as international tax complexity and global benefits management are core to this role, not secondary responsibilities. - You are looking for an individual contributor seat, as this role carries significant cross-functional leadership responsibility and executive visibility. Qualifications - 7+ years in payroll and benefits leadership, with at least 4 years managing multiple global entities and international payroll vendors. - Proven experience leading the People Ops and payroll workstream for at least 3 significant acquisitions from due diligence through integration. - Expert-level proficiency in modern, global-first HRIS and payroll platforms with a strong understanding of how payroll data integrates with accounting and GL systems. - Deep knowledge of US domestic tax law, ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and international statutory requirements. - Experience navigating the operational nuances of dual-entity or parent/subsidiary structures in a regulated environment. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Compensation The national pay range for this role is $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined by factors such as the candidate's geographic market, experience, skills, and qualifications. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation, including a comprehensive benefits package such as medical, dental, vision, unlimited PTO, and a 401(k) plan, stock options and bonuses. If your compensation requirement is greater than our posted range, please still consider applying; a determination can be made based on unique qualifications. Expected compensation ranges for this role may change over time.
