Role Description The VDC Operator II is responsible for the creation and documentation of models, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other associated design and construction documents. - Manage design and construction models as necessary to build working views, sheet views, and 3D views for export using Revit or other authoring software. - Model conveyance, place devices, and produce dimensioned drawings for one or more disciplines using Revit or other authoring software. - Generate design and construction documentation for structured cabling projects during design, shop drawings, and as-builts phases of a project. - Coordinate electronic file and information exchange through various online platforms. - Coordinate and communicate with VDC, design, and operations teams to resolve issues in the model, in the drawings, and in the field. - Assist VDC and Operations teams in reviewing and resolving issues during construction and updating the model and drawings accordingly. - Attend meetings and submit updates to management regarding project status and needs. - Correspond regularly with internal project managers, general contractors and other subcontractors. - Find, obtain, and manage various electronic files as needed for project coordination. - Mentor VDC Operator I staff.
