Bookkeeper, Finance Manager
Command
• Own all client billing processes, including: Monthly retainers, Project-based billing, Pass-through and reimbursable expenses • Ensure invoices are accurate, detailed, and sent on time • Track payments, manage collections, and follow up on outstanding invoices • Review and reconcile monthly expenses for approximately 30 corporate cardholders • Identify issues and work with employees to resolve them • Manage vendor bills, subscriptions, and recurring expenses • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking • Prepare clear financial summaries and reports for leadership • Interface with co-founders and partners on financial questions
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operations
- Deep hands-on experience with complex, high-volume billing and accounts receivable
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in clean, accurate financials
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
- Clear communicator who can explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience with accounting and expense tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Ramp, Brex, Expensify, or similar

Role Description We are a US-based Virtual Assistant staffing company seeking a highly skilled VA Bookkeeper to support a client with ongoing bookkeeping and corrective accounting work. The VA Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll and billing processes, and assisting with financial dashboard preparation. • Ongoing posting of all business transactions in financial accounting in accordance with legal requirements • Independent handling of digital accounts payable (creditor) bookkeeping • Responsibility for external reporting and preparation of preliminary VAT returns • Support with monthly closings and preparation for the annual financial statements • Fixed asset accounting up to handover for the balance sheet
