Role Description At Cogstate, we’re seeking a Financial Analyst, responsible for working with the Finance Team to support the delivery of goals and objectives of the Clinical Trials division within Cogstate. The role is required to be a subject matter expert in the pricing of all external requests for proposals (RFPs), supporting Project Managers with the financial aspects of their projects and for creating internal monthly financial reporting. Key Responsibilities - Create Pricing for customer proposals based on RFPs received, internal inputs, and within company approved standards. - Assist Project Managers in the creation or review of customer change in scope pricing (Change Orders). - Coordinate with Business Development and provide regular updates on the financial details and contracting of all new proposals and change orders in development. - Coordination and development of all pricing & Forecast Trackers on newly signed projects, with ongoing support and analysis across all projects. - Contract setup: set up of Project “Forecast Tracker” file and project codes in the Oracle Netsuite system. - Ongoing: Responsible for providing financial advice and assistance with monthly billing/forecasting to the Project Management team who manage the project portfolio. - Contract close down: financial reconciliation of the project billing at the end of a project. - Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support. - Participate in constant review of customer profitability analysis to ensure key divisional KPIs are achieved. - Ongoing development and creation of reporting related to profitability, staff utilization and staff resourcing. - Provision of ad-hoc reporting as required for Marketing, Business Development, Clinical Trials Operations and/or Product Development, incorporating and utilizing data and information sourced from within Cogstate. - Monitor and analyze monthly divisional employee time reporting; identify and escalate areas of concern. - Assist Financial Accounting team in the consolidation of all forecasting on clinical trials studies, as well as estimates of future income and timing on all high probability and unsigned contracts in development. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Management, or Finance. - MBA, CPA, CFA or Big 4 (highly desirable). - At least 5 years of experience in analyzing financial data and producing high level reports. - At least 5 years of experience working within Clinical Trials, either as a vendor or sponsor. Must understand SOA’s, screened vs. enrolled, vs. completed participants. - Preferred knowledge of a variety of computer software applications with an advanced knowledge of Excel, including but not limited to VLOOKUP, index match, pivot tables. - Working knowledge of Oracle Netsuite (highly desirable). Requirements - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to work autonomously while assisting daily operations of both Clinical Trials Operations and the Finance functions. - Self-motivated, with excellent time management skills. - Computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information, identify trends and make forecasts. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Management, or Finance.
