Job Description Role: Mainframe Project Manager Location: Canada – Remote Hire Type: Full-time About the Job you’re considering We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Manager to lead and oversee complex mainframe software migration projects, ensuring successful execution and seamless integration with business processes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies, including zOS, AS400, JCL, COBOL, REXX, and SAS, along with a strong background in project management, stakeholder management, risk assessment, and cost optimization. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to inspire teams, build relationships with stakeholders, and drive process improvements. Your Role - Provide project management for software migration projects on the IBM Z platform. - Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, timelines, funding limitations, procedures, and resource allocation. - Analyze needs and provide required project planning and execution, including development of project plans. - Report on project activities, scope changes, challenges, and requirements to leadership as a strategic tool to keep teams aligned with business objectives. - Communicate status, milestones, and project risks with internal and customer management. - Review and analyze processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and drive implementation. - Monitor, assess, and improve the effectiveness of program best practices focused on continual process and quality improvement for the client account. - This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel to client sites across North America/Canada. Your Skills and Experience - At least 8 years of technical project management experience. - PMP or PRINCE2 certification. - Experience in Product Replacement – Migration in Mainframe - Strong knowledge of operations and project management. - IBM Z Mainframe experience. - Experience managing cross-functional technical teams, including responsibility for scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables. - Experience with planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. - Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: CAD 76,200-$176,590/Year Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
