Accounting Manager
Sysco
• Provide leadership and direction to the Accounting analysts and global partners • Manage day-to-day Accounting processes, teams and related activities for assigned Sysco entities • Lead the review of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations • Own and resolve reconciling items through root cause analysis • Responsible for oversight of medium to high risk journal entries • Ensure adherence to department goals/metrics, Internal Audit reports, and SLAs • Translate technical accounting guidance into operational accounting processes • Serve as primary point of contact for Sysco entities on balance sheet accounts • Responsible for month-end task list and financial consolidation • Regularly lead key stakeholder meetings to discuss open risks and develop action plans • Develop, perform, and monitor analytics on key accounts
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- CPA Preferred
- Minimum 5 years progressive, related experience
- 2 years experience in supervisory or team leader experience
- Good understanding of end to end business processes
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Microsoft Office and specialized accounting / finance software ERP Systems (i.e. workday)

Role Description We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Accounting Operations Lead who thrives in high-volume transactional environments and enjoys solving complex reconciliation and operational challenges. This role sits at the center of our financial operations. You will manage the daily accounting workflows that support our marketplace while working closely with the Controller to ensure all transactions are accurately captured in our accounting systems. This is a hands-on role, not a purely managerial position. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into data, reconciling complex transaction flows, and improving operational accounting processes.
