Role Description We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Accounting Operations Lead who thrives in high-volume transactional environments and enjoys solving complex reconciliation and operational challenges. This role sits at the center of our financial operations. You will manage the daily accounting workflows that support our marketplace while working closely with the Controller to ensure all transactions are accurately captured in our accounting systems. This is a hands-on role, not a purely managerial position. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into data, reconciling complex transaction flows, and improving operational accounting processes. What You'll Do - Operate Core Financial Workflows - Manage daily financial operations related to marketplace activity - Track incoming buyer payments and ensure proper transaction recording - Assist in managing daily seller payouts (150–250 per day) - Help oversee purchase order workflows and payment readiness - Maintain accurate operational trade records - Manage Transaction Tracking & Operational Accounting - Own and maintain the company’s trade activity logging process (Slack → Google Sheets workflow) - Ensure all marketplace trades are properly captured and reflected in operational records - Work closely with the Controller to ensure transactions flow accurately into QuickBooks Online - Assist with transaction classification and reconciliation support - Reconcile High-Volume Financial Activity - Investigate and match incoming wire transfers to underlying marketplace transactions - Assist with reconciling high-volume transactional flows between internal systems and accounting records - Identify discrepancies and help resolve operational accounting issues - Support Accounting Infrastructure - Work with the Controller to support improvements to our accounting automation and systems - Help monitor and validate data flowing from our internal platform (Nimbus) into QuickBooks - Support the development of more efficient operational accounting workflows - Assist With Financial Close & Reporting - Support month-end and quarterly reporting processes - Assist with financial statement preparation for investors - Help ensure accounting data remains accurate and complete Qualifications - 5+ years of accounting experience - Strong experience with QuickBooks Online, Google Sheets, Slack, Ramp - Strong knowledge of GAAP accrual accounting methods, as well as AP/AR - Extremely detail-oriented with strong reconciliation skills - Comfortable operating in high-volume transaction environments - Ability to work with large datasets and investigate discrepancies - Strong organizational and operational execution skills Requirements - CPA or CPA-track (Preferred) - Public accounting experience (Preferred) - Experience in fintech, marketplaces, trading environments, or high-transaction businesses (Preferred) - Systems-oriented mindset with curiosity about automation, APIs, or data workflows (Preferred) - Startup experience (Preferred) Benefits - Salary: $100,000 – $115,000 - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Cell phone stipend - Wellness benefits - Daily lunch benefit - 2 weeks PTO - 5 sick days Why This Role Is Unique This role offers a rare opportunity to sit at the center of a high-volume financial marketplace and help scale the accounting infrastructure behind it. Job Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online, Google Sheets, Slack, Ramp
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accrual accounting methods, as well as AP/AR

- Comfortable operating in high-volume transaction environments

Additional tasks include but are not limited to: - Assisting the Team with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks - Assisting with the pulling of bank and Exchange Manager Pro detailed reports to assist in reconciliation processes. - Pull client fees from subaccounts at respective banks based on fee reports run from Exchange Manager Pro and resolve any exceptions in an accurate and timely manner. - Maintain records of W-9s obtained for vendors and contractors paid through reverse exchanges.
