Role Description The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment. Responsibilities include: - Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment. - Scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. - Collaborating to resolve SAP transport and source code problems. - Installing, upgrading, and maintaining SAP systems. - Evaluating and designing interfaces between SAP and external systems. - Maintaining the SAP Data Dictionary and database objects. - Managing the migration of SAP database and application configuration into production. - Analyzing, developing, and maintaining data architectures and process models within SAP. Major Job Activities: - Providing SAP Application, Database, Operating System, and infrastructure support. - Supporting the integration of emerging SAP technologies (e.g., HANA, FIORI / UI5). - Supporting Functional Business Process, Application Development, Portal, Business Intelligence, Process Integration / Process Orchestration (PI/PO), and Security Technical Teams. - Integration and management of hardware and virtualized servers. - Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize system performance. - User Administration: Manage user accounts, roles, and authorizations. - System Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades. - Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures. - Deliver technical application administration services for SAP applications. - Design, build, test, implementation, and environment support for dev, test, and prod environments. - Develop migration strategies and project plans tailored to specific SAP environments. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP system configurations. - Perform system validations and post-migration testing. - Implement security measures to protect SAP systems and data. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Conduct security assessments and audits. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Support all activities related to release management. - Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices. - Regularly review and update documentation. - Work closely with project teams to document new systems. - Share knowledge and expertise through training and documentation. - Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR associate degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. - Minimum 5 years of professional experience in SAP Basis administration and infrastructure management. - Experience with the SAP ECC, HANA & Oracle DB. - Experience with IFS is a plus. - Demonstrated SAP HANA and SAP RISE experience required. - Experience working in a large-scale IT organization with SAP project implementations. - Completion of a 2+ previous SAP S/4 project upgrades. - Hands-on, in-depth SAP BASIS knowledge. - Demonstrated SAP & SAP HANA on NS2 cloud experience required. - Understanding of OLTP and OLAP systems. - Understanding the SAP application architecture and SAP NetWeaver technology. - Deployment approach and strategies for SAP GUI, EPM add-on, Analysis for Office (AOE), SAP HANA Studio. - Solid understanding of best SAP practices. - Experience integrating and operating 3rd party applications. - Experience installing, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting SAP applications. - Experience following protocols and standards specific to SAP large-scale implementation. - Experience working with SAP support on troubleshooting various issues. - Knowledge of Redwood job scheduling is highly desired. - Understanding high-availability, disaster-recovery concepts. - Understands the ITIL framework and has leveraged it in at least 1 prior project. - High level of energy and enthusiasm. - Ability to work with global teams and act independently. - Open-minded to new perspectives and ideas. - Communicates in a clear and succinct manner. - Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements. Key Responsibilities - Provide advanced technical support for SecurityBridge products, including core platform components and TrustBroker, with a strong focus on SAP Basis–related topics. - Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP Basis, system connectivity, authentication, certificates, and performance. - Support installations, upgrades, and configuration of SecurityBridge components in customer SAP landscapes. - Analyze incidents to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions to minimize recurring issues and downtime. - Collaborate closely with product development, implementation, and customer success teams to improve product stability, usability, and supportability. - Contribute to technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge base content. - Identify opportunities to improve support processes and workflows to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. - Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule, as required, to ensure service continuity for customers.
