SAP ABAP Analyst
Omm IT Solutions
• Design and implement RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) using ABAP OO, classical ABAP, and modern S/4HANA-optimized patterns • Build/enhance interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services (OData/REST), SOAP, and middleware patterns (e.g., PI/PO, CPI) • Develop Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, ALV reports (SALV/CL_GUI_ALV_GRID), and custom transactions/Fiori-compatible services • Implement BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and Business Workflow where applicable • Create Technical Design Documents (TDDs), unit test scripts, and support functional/integration/UAT testing • Manage transports across environments using CTS/CTS+; ensure change control compliance and segregation of duties (SoD) • Participate in production support (L3), incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions • Partner with functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs • Enforce secure coding standards, data privacy guidelines, and SAP Clean Core principles; advocate for reusability and low-code alternatives where sensible (e.g., BTP CAP/Fiori Elements)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience (ECC and/or S/4HANA), with strong RICEF portfolio
- Proficiency in ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDP, BAPIs/IDocs, OData services, and Adobe/Smart Forms
- Solid experience with performance tuning, debugging, dumps analysis (ST22), locks (SM12), and background jobs (SM37)
- Strong understanding of at least two SAP functional areas (e.g., SD/MM, FI/CO, PP/QM, EWM, HCM)
- Familiarity with ATC/SCI, transport management, versions/Git-enabled CTS or DevOps tooling, and solution documentation
- Experience working with integration platforms (SAP PI/PO, CPI, or equivalent iPaaS) and RESTful paradigms
- Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across time zones and drive clarity from ambiguity.
