There are NO limits to your career: come shape the future and be part of a truly unique global culture at OutSystems! Principal Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence About This Role As the first dedicated Competitive Intelligence hire in the era of AI, you will be the "founding member" of the Competitive Intelligence practice at OutSystems. Sitting within the Product Marketing team, you will act as the central nervous system for market and competitor insights. Your mission is to translate complex technical shifts and competitor moves into actionable strategies that help our Sales team win, our Product team differentiate, and our Executive team lead. You will build the frameworks, select the tools, and establish the cadence for how we monitor and beat the competition. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Analysis & Market Monitoring - Establish the "Intel Engine": Build and run a repeatable cadence for monitoring competitor product launches, pricing changes, marketing shifts, and financial earnings. - Technical Deep Dives: Conduct hands-on technical assessments of competing solutions (e.g., evaluating AI capabilities, developer experience, or workflow extensibility). - Market Trends: Track emerging shifts in [Industry - e.g., Agentic AI, Low-Code, or IDE innovation] to provide "early warning" alerts on disruptive threats or opportunities. 2. Sales Enablement & Deal Support - The "Win" Toolkit: Create and maintain high-impact assets including Battlecards, objection-handling guides, and "Why We Win" playbooks. - Live Deal Support: Serve as a strategic advisor on high-stakes, "must-win" deals, providing custom competitive analysis and positioning to help Sales unblock revenue. - Win/Loss Program: Partner with Revenue Operations to lead a formal Win/Loss analysis program, identifying patterns in why we win or lose against specific rivals. 3. Cross-Functional Influence - Messaging & Positioning: Work with the broader Product Marketing team to ensure our corporate narrative and website messaging proactively distance us from the competition. - Executive Briefings: Deliver regular updates (monthly/quarterly) to leadership on the competitive landscape, shifting "Magic Quadrant" dynamics, and strategic recommendations. - Product Roadmap Input: Translate competitive gaps and technical weaknesses into prioritized recommendations for the Product Management team. Qualifications / What You Need To Succeed - Experience: 10+ years in Product Marketing, Competitive Strategy, or Corporate Development at a high-growth technical company (ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar). - The "Architect" Mindset: Proven ability to build a function from 0 to 1, including selecting tech stacks (Klue, Crayon, Salesforce integration) and defining company-wide processes. - Technical Depth: You must be able to hold your own with Architects, Engineering, and CTO-level buyers. Experience in Agentic AI, Developer Tools, or Low-Code is a major advantage. - Strategic Communication: Ability to take "dense technical telemetry" and boil it down into a 30-second executive summary or a high-impact "trap-setting" sales script. - Leadership: While this is currently a team of one, you must have the presence and leadership skills to mentor cross-functional teams and eventually hire and scale the function. The Longer Story: OutSystems enables enterprise teams to build AI-powered applications and agents that reduce manual work, streamline internal operations, and accelerate impact. A proven low-code foundation combined with agentic AI and AI app generation capabilities empowers teams to move up to 10x faster with the assurance of security, scalability, and governance built in. As the future becomes agentic, our customers need us now more than ever. AI has opened the door to extraordinary possibilities—but inside the enterprise, things are moving fast and feeling chaotic. Some early adopters are making progress in production, but for many, AI tools are sprawling without governance, data isn’t ready, and talent isn’t there yet. Enterprises are still drowning in application backlogs and struggling with legacy systems. But with the right platform, AI doesn’t have to add to the chaos. It can become the breakthrough that brings clarity—and drives real, enterprise-wide impact. At OutSystems, we’ve built that platform, providing the tools necessary for enterprises to overcome these hurdles. We are looking for passionate, talented, and motivated people to join us in helping our customers build, deploy, and scale apps and agents—fast, helping them accelerate innovation while enabling secure, governed human-AI collaboration. OutSystems is a truly global company, with more than 850,000 developer community members, 1,700 employees, more than 500 partners, and thousands of active customers in over 75 countries and across 21 industries. Founded in 2001, OutSystems has offices in the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, the UAE, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, India, and Singapore, and of course has a thriving, worldwide community of remote employees. Amongst our customers are some of the world's most recognizable brands across diverse industries—brands like Toyota, Heineken, Bosch, KeyBank, and UCLA. These customers are the reason we have a 4.6 star rating on G2. Their success is ours, and their stories demonstrate tangible ROI and transformational impact. We are a 9x Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for Low-Code Application Platforms and a multi-year leader in the Forrester Wave. We’re recognized not just as leaders but as visionaries with a strong ability to execute, now extending our leadership into the AI and agentic application development arena. From lateral moves and joining different teams to mastering specialized skills, we support your growth no matter what your goals are. - Work colleagues that are as smart, hard-working, and driven as you. We act as one global OutSystems team, taking ownership and working together toward a shared vision. - Disrupting the status quo is in our DNA.
