Role Description We're looking for a Sales Business Development Representative to help fuel Benzinga's growth by generating high-quality sales opportunities with financial services advertisers. This is a mid-level role for a salesperson already established in their career who wants to continue to build a foundation in B2B sales, capital markets, and financial services marketing. You will be expected to close deals initially. Instead, you'll focus on prospecting, qualifying, and setting strong meetings for our senior sales team — while learning how complex advertising and sponsorship deals are built and closed. Core Responsibilities - Lead Generation & Research: - Identify and source new sales leads through research, including social media platforms and other prospecting tools. - Consistently generate a high daily volume of new leads and add them to Benzinga's CRM (Salesforce). - Sales Outreach & Activity: - Execute a high daily volume of outbound calls and emails to sourced leads, inbound leads, and existing clients. - Build relationships with prospects to identify needs and create sales opportunities. - Track all activity, progress, and next steps in Benzinga's CRM (Salesforce) to maintain accurate sales records. - Collaboration & Training: - Work closely with Sales Leadership and the Marketing team to effectively utilize promotional strategies and drive revenue growth. - Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing sales training to strengthen product knowledge and sales skills. - Continuously develop knowledge of Benzinga's products, services, and the financial markets. - Performance & Goals: - Meet or exceed individual sales targets. - Contribute to team revenue goals and support targets for individual product and revenue streams. - Maintain a proactive, results-driven approach in a fast-paced sales environment. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required). - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. - Strong interest in sales, financial markets, and developing long-term client relationships. - Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment. - Understanding of sales principles and customer service best practices. - Experience with Benzinga products and services is a plus. - Mid-level experience.
