The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with the entire product development team during all stages of software development. Requirements We are looking for a strong developer with experience in ad delivery and display to build our platforms for cutting-edge ad experiences. Responsibilities include supporting the existing national digital advertisement infrastructure, working closely with product managers and designers to turn concepts into revenue-generating products, supporting and integrating with Application and Product Development teams, and analyzing and incorporating modern technologies as the landscape evolves. Qualifications - 10+ years of software development experience - Excellent skills in the latest JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS standards - Strong skills in Golang, Node.js, and PHP - Web UI/UX design Implementation - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills - Ability to work in a team to solve complex problems - Ability to quickly pivot and handle essential tasks as assigned - Passionate about solving problems for users, advertisers, and publishers - Web Ad Tech experience: Google Ad Manager, Prebid, etc. Preferred Skills - Bachelor’s/master’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience - Docker, Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, DataStudio, Kubernetes) or equivalent - Database Technologies: MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres, NoSQL, etc. - Strong experience with GIT - Strong working knowledge with one or more Internet ad management or targeted marketing applications (e.g., Google Ad Manager, 24/7 Real Media, OAS, FreeWheel) - Rich Media Vendor technology experience (e.g., Sizmek, Celtra, Vindico, Pointroll) - Prior experience in the media or related industry is desirable Responsibilities - Development, testing, release and support of Gannett advertising web frameworks, apps, and services - Collaborate with developers, designers, and product/business managers to develop new features consistent with product roadmap and revenue goals - Perform code reviews and recommend improvements - Maintain awareness of technology developments that affect either our audience’s ability to use our products or extend new product potential - Proactively innovate, collaborate, and contribute ideas #LI-REMOTE #LI-NR2 The annualized base salary for this role will range between $100,000 and $120,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications, and experience.
