Role Description At Matrix Renewables we are looking for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in our Operations team. Based in the U.S., the Project Manager (“PM”) must be familiar with all aspects of the development, construction, commissioning and operation of renewable energy projects (“projects”). During the development phase, you will collaborate with in-house and external teams to ensure that projects obtain all the permits, authorizations, and licenses necessary to reach Ready to Build (“RTB”) status providing technical support and identify the main issues that may arise with permits and propose solutions. The candidate will support design and negotiations for Main Equipment and EPC contracts for the project/s. - Supervise the performance of the projects during the engineering, construction, and commissioning phases as well as lead the transition to operations/Asset Management - Lead Pre-NTP and Construction phases of “front of the meter,” utility interconnected PV & BESS assets, and other energy generation sources - Provide supervision and PM oversight to construction management, general and sub-contractors, and material vendors - Lead project team and collaborate with all company functional areas to manage portfolio and project activities including budget, schedule, contract negotiation & compliance, quality, and ESG site matters - Support project development efforts and team in the development and entitlement process - Coordinate with Asset Management to assure on budget and on schedule delivery as well as quality control during construction and operation stages - Participate in decision making process, providing technical perspective on project design and procurement - Lead insurance claim settlements during construction - Oversee all third-party contract execution: EPC, BoS, Equipment, Procurement, and technical advisors (including technical due diligence) - Project scheduling management through activities definition, sequencing, resources, and duration estimation - Ensure compliance with Quality Management Plan for the projects - Oversee global project requirements during pre-construction and construction phase from Project Financing, Permitting, Offtaker, etc. - Coordinate with External Advisors for the preparation of detailed, Bankable due Diligence Reports and Drawdowns reports - Manage relationships with landlords and tenants - Manage community and public relations in respect of the project - Coordinate with internal HSE ESG Manager to implement H&S Policy and site H&S Management Plan which complies with H&S laws, regulations, and best industry practice - Implement ESG Company policy at local level in compliance with modern standards, regulations, and best industry practice - Flag to HQ any ESG issues as soon as possible, gather information related to them, and interact with stakeholders if appropriate Qualifications - Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred - Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally in industrial, utilities, and/or energy sectors - Familiarity with CAISO, NERC, MISO, ERCOT, and other relevant processes and requirements - Full understanding of the development process for solar projects in the U.S. - Excellent knowledge of renewable energy plants construction, operation, and maintenance - Experience with dealing with contracts along with proven ability to liaise with and manage/monitor contractors - Experience with dealing with technical authorities, utilities, grid operator, and offtakers - Solid communication skills: capability to establish technical discussions in different cultural environments - Fluent in English - Ability to travel as necessary to visit sites and meet with stakeholders Benefits - Matrix is committed to a fulfilling, inclusive and non-discriminatory working environment in which all individuals are treated as individuals, with respect and dignity and are given opportunities to develop their careers and contribute to both the Company´s and their own success. - Matrix is committed to ensuring a rigorous, fair and non-discriminatory selection and recruitment process and to treat all candidates who apply for a position in Matrix equally. - We advocate for equal opportunity and do not discriminate against gender, marital status, religion, age, color, race, sexual orientation, nationality, or disability.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred

Project Managers may be managing one or more client engagements at the same time. They manage Coastal Cloud resources and interface with client members to most effectively meet budget, delivery and customer satisfaction goals.
