Compensation Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: - Tuition waiver and reimbursement program - Health insurance - Paid time off - Retirement savings plan Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Faculty Onboarding - Collaboratively design and coordinate disaggregated onboarding/orientation for faculty aligned with modalities of teaching assignments (didactic, experiential, online) delivery. - Provide regular and ongoing reporting of new faculty performance in onboarding activities to hiring managers for future planning/contingency. - Conduct follow-up conversations with new faculty over first term of teaching to ensure support and alignment with university expectations. - Identify, maintain, and publish electronic resources for new faculty in the Center for Teaching and Learning. - Faculty Assessment and Evaluation - Calibrate faculty evaluation measures with faculty managers to ensure consistency in the evaluation of faculty. - Provide recommendations to university leadership regarding faculty evaluation policies and procedures. - Develop and implement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of faculty development programs. - Organize and deliver the university faculty recognition program. - Faculty Development and Advancement - Coordinate and support practitioner as faculty model by collaborating with faculty to assess teaching needs and develop innovative curriculum and instructional strategies. - Design and deliver faculty development workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance pedagogical skills, including the integration of technology and active learning methodologies. - Develop and maintain faculty development resources via the Center for Teaching and Learning. - Contribute to the implementation of a robust and multi-faceted program of faculty development to support the development of faculty competencies and instructional excellence in all instructional modalities, programs, and campuses across the University. - Support campus/department/modality faculty development that is informed by student learning and faculty evaluation data. - Coordinate regular training with vendor partners for new and existing faculty. - Facilitate faculty learning events in multiple modalities; including synchronous classroom and web-based instruction, asynchronous learning modules. - Provide one-on-one coaching and feedback sessions with individual faculty members. Physical Requirements - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. - Ability to move about readily and rapidly, if necessary, around campus, classrooms, clinical settings, etc., to access classrooms, desks, students, office machinery, clinics, patients, etc. - Constantly communicates using the spoken word with students, staff and colleagues. - Visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess. - Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio-visual equipment, clinical equipment, etc. - Up to 30% travel.
