Job Description

FAA Regulatory Compliance Manager

BRINC Drones

• Prepare, submit, and manage FAA regulatory authorizations, waivers, and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations • Serve as a regulatory subject matter resource for internal teams and public safety partners navigating the FAA authorization processes • Proactively engage with public safety partners to understand their needs, provide timely service, and address any issues or concerns maintaining strong relationships during the regulatory approval lifecycle. • Track and manage submission pipelines, managing multiple projects, ensuring deadlines, follow-ups, and regulatory milestones are met • Identify regulatory challenges and develop creative problem-solving strategies to support successful approvals • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving FAA regulations, policies, and authorization pathways relevant to public safety aviation operations • Work closely with BRINC’s Project Management & Customer Success teams • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Teams to ensure aircraft capabilities, software features, and operational procedures align with FAA regulatory frameworks

Job Requirements

  • Exceptional Communication & Organizational Skills
  • Excellent technical writing and regulatory documentation skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Experience preparing FAA waiver applications or Certificates of Authorization (COAs) utilizing DroneZone, CAPS, etc.
  • Knowledge of Google Earth mapping functionality or similar software
  • Knowledge of Google Office Automation suite
  • Ability to independently book and manage all aspects of travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and itineraries
  • Live within 1.5 hours of a major airport
  • Preferred Skills:
  • 107 sUAS Certification
  • Technical Proficiency in Drone Hardware and Software
  • Direct Experience with filing Public Safety Agency FAA Waivers & DFR Programs
