Role Description The R&D Procurement / Prototype Procurement Specialist supports Agilent R&D and engineering teams by managing the procurement of prototypes, components, materials, equipment, and services required for product development and model shop activities. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, compliance with Agilent procurement policies, and accurate tracking of materials, assets, and schedules. - Responsible for the procurement of Agilent R&D prototypes, components, materials, equipment, and/or services in support of engineering, R&D, and model shop activities. - Establishes, maintains, and manages supplier relationships, including coordination on pricing, lead times, delivery performance, and issue resolution. - Generates and maintains procurement and sourcing reports, including spend tracking, order status, supplier performance, and material availability. - Creates and maintains work travelers for the internal Model Shop, ensuring accurate routing, documentation, and schedule tracking. - Coordinates closely with engineering and R&D to track schedules, prioritize prototype builds, and help support project timelines. - Reviews, validates, and confirms Fixed Asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and documentation in accordance with Agilent policies. - Ensures procurement activities comply with Agilent procurement policies, internal controls, and quality system requirements. - Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, reporting, supplier management, and model shop workflow. - Utilizes enterprise systems and tools such as Ariba, SAP, and JobBOSS to manage purchasing transactions, data accuracy, and reporting.
