What you will do: - Be a trusted member of the Firm tax team providing various international tax services including planning, research, compliance, foreign tax credit, outbound and inbound structure planning and cross-border transactions. - Oversee preparation and review of U.S. international tax filings, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118 and related disclosures. - Review trial balances, journal entries, and intercompany transactions for proper tax classification; ensure accuracy and completeness of foreign jurisdiction data used in U.S. international calculations. - Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations. - Positively impact your firm by: - Being a valued tax business advisor, focusing on day-to-day tax matters. - Consulting on technical matters and special projects in various areas of international taxation. - Researching various tax matters, responding to IRS and other state and foreign tax authorities’ inquiries. - Coordinating with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in areas such as state and local, M&A and international. - Assist with managing engagement staffing and efficiency. - Utilize your skills to build strong relationships. - Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs. - Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Law, or a similar degree in Business, Masters or advanced degree desirable. - CPA or JD required. - Five (5) + year(s) experience providing international tax compliance and consulting services, including international tax provisions, cross-border issues, and U.S. compliance for international taxpayers such as, foreign tax credits, controlled foreign corporations, withholding regimes and tax treaties; professional services firm experience preferred. - Two (2)+ years’ of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates. - Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills. - Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects. - Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills. Requirements - The compensation range for this role is $91,220 to $172,950. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Law, or a similar degree in Business, Masters or advanced degree desirable.
