Senior Associate, Anti-Tax Evasion Compliance

Coinbase

• Assist with handling routine ATE related advisory requests and act as a point of escalation for questions related to ATE risk. • Assist with ATE related projects, including designing and implementing controls related to the detection and mitigation of tax evasion risk. • Create and deliver ATE training to diverse audiences. • Provide subject matter expert support on anti-tax evasion risk assessments. • Stay apprised of changes in the crypto ecosystem and the ATE regulatory environment, including regulatory rule making, guidance, and litigation.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar Compliance/Risk/Legal function or role.
  • Working knowledge of anti-tax evasion and AML requirements, including familiarity with CARF, AML laws that include tax evasion as a predicate act, and the UK Corporate Criminal Offense related to the facilitation of tax evasion.
  • Experience designing and implementing controls related to the detection and mitigation of tax evasion and facilitation risk.
  • Highly collaborative and able to communicate effectively with varying audiences.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise summaries and recommendations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
